| Brilliant gate fold sleeve to "Tres Hombres".
Also, the nutters with the guns on the inside sleeve are pretty cool
too.
Or am I being a bit old fashioned, talking about records?>

Thanks for that list, Brandon. Often we don't know who is responsible
for things and it helps to see them listed with the proper
attributions.

Well the jury's still out on that. I have no preference one way or t'other.
However, you'll notice that Beethoven was also _not_ included.

| Just came back from the "Gospel" luncheon put on by our African
American Heritage committee. Along with a black gospel group
belting out some toe stomping songs, a Dr. Long from a local church
spoke on the status of Black America and the demise of AA and other
government programs targeted for omission by the G.O.P., which in turn
effects black americans. Basically, this speaker said that while
slavery may be abolished, that black america is still oppressed but now
in more subtle ways through silent demons... and thisis where the GOP
fits in.
A couple of things... I walked away feeling:
1. It was difficult to hear the disparity and percentages of black
america's levels of poverty, fatherlessness, mortality, teenage murder
victims from gang wars [blacks killing blacks] based on the
progression from 1950 to 1995.
This in and of itself is alarming to me, but I found myself wondering
what the same categories would run for white america. Would we not
find that while numbers may be different, that percentages of increase may
be even more astounding. I see more white homeless people on the street
everyday, and the number of fatherless for white children can't be
tailing behind black america too far.
2. The prescription for a better future for black america is the
heritage of the black family and ...
the *hope* that caused slaves to sing while their children were thrown to
the dogs or beaten by a whip.
Overall I'd say my awareness was heightened and that this was all
too frighteningly foreign to me. I've never ever felt or believed that
any human being was less than myself regardless, of skin color or
nationality. I've always approached people as individuals.
It's too bad that in all this "progression" we've not learned this as a
nation.
