Scuze me but don't we already have a hall of fame of sorts? We have a
dearly departed note for former boxers in at least two incantations.
Do we really honestly need to be reminded yet again that there are
boxers that are no longer with us?

thank you, Di. Spelling errors I can accept and correct. More
embarassing would have been if the meaning were incorrect, but
you seem to have accepted what I was trying to get across ;-) so
it must have been the right word.

misspelling "embarrassing."

>>misspelling "embarrassing."

I said exactly the same thing to Easty one day and he sent me
mail the next day saying that the OED listed it with one "r"
as an alternate spelling. I didn't verify that. ;>

270.40the humble 'r' who need itCGOOA::MALONEAlways ObtuseFri Jan 27 1995 20:3720
    'r'e .1 and so fo'r'th

Actually the identification symbol known to many as the humble 'r' has
been given status well above it's minute office. Legend has it that
this humble alphabetic anomaly was added to fill out the twenty six
stated entities in the phonetic alphabet, which as some of you
undoubtably know was the exact digit count of the total appendages
located on the left hand of the Once and Famous King Otten. Having
one day inflicted additonal pain and toil on his loyal subjects, asked
them what title they should bestow upon him. One of the local peasants
who had been toiled and pained above and beyond his fellow clan said
that a new alphabetic constenant should be added to the Famous Kings
name. To this day, he is noted as the official keepsake of the
entity "R". And also to this day the famous King is now know as King
    Rotten!

See...I only used the unmentionable entity in definition only...it
plainly is not needed...so adding, deleting or modifiying sentences,
nouns etc, to omit this annoying embelishment is quite acceptable.
    ....embarrrrassingerrrr...is fine!

It's a synonym for relection. Sigh.

I took typing one hot summer in high school -- never got to the top
line, and was none too great on the lines I did study. Moreover, I
never edit or proof-read in Soapbox, but just go with my first shot.
Result -- a reasonable number of goofs.
