| It's so hard to tell who is telling what (and for what motives) that I
just try to ignore the whole sordid affair just like Tonya Harding, OJ
Simpson, Mikey Jackson, any other royal family (including the
Kennedys).

| Watched a program called "The Winsors" could have been A & E or PBS,
not sure. They have all been bastards, the Queens grandfather,
great grandfather and great great grandmother. They are dysfunctional,
sometimes insane, and generally selfcentered. And, as half of behavour
is genetic, they will continue to be that way, after all, how do you
think they got to be rulers in the first place.
The British Royal family are what they are, just like American
politicians are who they are. All I can say, if you don't think it
works then try running the country without them, you'd be suprised what
a mess would result.

You wot? She's just another Barbie doll, with a bigger than normal
wardrobe.
Knew she was a wrong 'un from the very first, would never look anyone
in the eyes, always looking out the corner of 'em.
Pity the wimp Brits of the 17C reinstated the monarchy. Cromwell et al
had done a fine job up to then.
We should take a leaf out of the Russkies book........

I wouldn't doubt this. And, I suppose, I wouldn't blame her, either.
You can marry for love any day of the week, but you only get one chance to
kiss a frog and become a princess.

Divorce to Cost Charles up to $320,000,000
Prince Charles has reportedly offered Princess Diana a lump sum
of $315 million to $320 million, joint custody of Princes William
and Harry, and the chance to keep her posh pad in Kensington
Palace - and the right to hold on to her HRH title. Charles has
got to borrow a few quid to become a single man again - but Queen
Elizabeth is likely to write the check. The word is the queen wants
the affair settled soon so her youngest son, Prince Edward, can
reveal his own engagement to his longstanding girlfriend, Sophie
Rhys-Jones. Diana's lawyer hinted that the princess would sign off
on the divorce settlement this week.

It's all "funny money" anyway, because when she dies it just goes
to her kids and thus right back into the family anyway, right?
How much money can you spend on depreciating, disposable consummables
in one lifetime, after all? You can only buy so many Rolls Royces
and the like.
