| | Physical therapy is meant to make sick bodies well.

Psycological therapy is meant to make well minds sick.

Is this correct? ...or just the way things usually work out?

of a dog's nose is therapy for me. I don't know why, it just makes all
    of us feel so good.

Damaged bodies are more common than sick ones.

Lying on your front and being loaded up with hot wet sandbags is good
    therapy for lower back pain.

| | PT treatment finally solved my lower back problems after
repeated chiro visits and the MD repeated prescriptions of more
and more anti-inflamatories.
That was a year ago, no problems since. This has been the 1st
time in years that I can recall going this long without the pain
returning at some point.

the r-r-r-r-r-est of the story is that the symptoms in question are not
those of chronic pain, such as from a slipped disc, but rather those of
an injury. you got a slipped disc, get it fixed. you pull your back
lifting that sandbag, take aspirin and, as soon as you can, start doing
light exercise and let nature take its course.

I have a friend who I think should stop going to therapy. We were at
brunch a few weeks back and talking about a lot of different things. He then
talked about my roomate and I being late all the time. He went on to say that
we do this so we can gain control of the day/night. That we have to be in total
control. And he was totally serious about it too. Of course I loved the
expresion on his face when I told him it was really that we were just being
inconsiderate. :-)
