Hi,
One of our customers have either an Alpha VMS platform and IBM AS400,
they have Rdb based application in OVMS and DB2 for AS400. Now they
want to integrate both. I'm suggesting them to use Db Integrator and
Db Integrator gateway for Db2 besides of other conectivity elements
between DEC enviroment and SNA. I got the part number for both
products (DbI and DbI for Db2) from the corresponding SPDs, however due
this product are not Digital productos anymore it seems that the part
number have changed, does anybody know something?, Which ones are the
corresponding Oracle products or the part number, Is Digital still
authorized to sell it ? I would appreciate any help about it.

if your customer has a valid rdb support contract, the distributed
option is free. if not they have to buy Database Integrator.
the gateways are now called rdb transparent gateway to xxx.
for db2 on as400, they would have to use
rdb transparent gwy to oracle ===> oracle trans gwy to db2 on as400
we lost our gateway to sequelink since intersolve purchased them and
backed out of the vms platform. they froze the vms client.

Does Oracle Transparent Gateway to Rbd include Oracle
Transparent Gateway on DB2? or are they separeted products?.

Steve is out in California, but I can answer. They are separate
products (individually orderable and priced).
