    We are looking for field test sites to use any/all of the following
    products:
    
    Rdb Transparent Gateway for RMS
    Rdb Transparent Gateway for DBMS
    Rdb Transparent Gateway for Custom Drivers
    
    These product are rewritten from the originals and are now fully based
    on DBI technology.  We hope to replace the existing products with these
    once we have completed field test.
    
    Please ask your customers to Field Test any/all of the above if they
    are current users.

How do we become a field test site?

Actually, This is really two questions.

1) How do we (Oracle) get a FT kit?

2) How does anybody else?

    Hi Mark,
    
    Internal Oracle sites can get the kit from:
    
    broke::star_md01:[dbi_public.kits.vaxvms.v70ft3]dbi070*.*
    
    This is our FT3 kit for the Rdb Distributed Option, the Parallel Query
    Option, DataBase Integrator, and all of the gateways (including RMS,
    DBMS, and Custom Drivers).  We have a common installation procedure for
    all the products, just choose from the menu.  VAX and ALPHA VMS are
    supported in the kits.
    
    I will provide a pointer to internal Digital sites on the Digital side
    of the firewall for use within Digital only.  Folks should send mail to
    [email protected] - I'd like to track how many people pull the kit.
    
    External sites can send mail to [email protected] and I'll put them
    in touch with our field test administrator - there will be some
    paperwork to be filled out.
