1062.0. "Unable to perform PARADOX query" by ORAREP::GIDDAY::VASSIL () Tue Jun 04 1996 04:25
Hi,
I currently have a problem with a customer who is trying to perform
a query using PARADOX.
He can succesfully make the first query but every subsequent query
after that dies.
The customer encounters no problems making queries when running
ACCESS or any other Microsoft product.
The customer is running DBI/RMS 3.0D on ALPHA running OpenVMS v6.2,
UCX v3.3, SQL services V6.0-1, and the latest ODBC drivers on a PC
running Windows 95.
After searching through this notes conference I found other notes
addressing similar problems with the one major difference being, that
these queries were performed with MS ACCESS.
As I could not find any note regarding the use of PARADOX, I have
simply asked the customer to raise his pglfquo, wsquo, wsext, bytlm
and fillm in both the SQLSRV$SRV account and his own account as well
as checking the "Idle Time" value in the SQLSERVER initialization
file which I believe should be set to a value of 1 second.
Any other suggestions in resolving this problem would be greatly
appreciated as I am not to familiar with the product.
Thanks,
Mario Vassil

1062.1 | Can you post the error message? | BROKE::ABUGOV | | Tue Jun 04 1996 08:05 | 10 |
|
Hi Mario,
Could you post the error message the customer is seeing? Also, if you
enable sql services tracing and post any errors you see in the trace
file that would help us also.
Thanks!
Dan
