Sorry, I didn't realize there was a PC Data question buried in this note
string.

As far as I know the 16 bit Btrieve ODBC Data Driver from the Microsoft
Desktop Drivers Pack 2 (Yes, that's it's full name) does not require you to
know the record format nor is it version dependent.  However, we have never
tested that driver so I cannot be sure.

In order to use that driver you'll need to acquire the module WBTRCALL.DLL
from Borland.
