Hi Dan, I had a customer call tonight. He is running 3 or 4 queries against a DBI db that comprises of 8 db's. He has one huge table that is partitioned by year and whenever he runs queries with DBI he encounters a bugcheck with an exception at utl_e_invalid_mem_alloc_size. This is the only note I found with that exception and this customer is running 3.1-02A too. You said in March it would be fixed in the next release of DBI, that is V7, right? I would also like to get the data from the customer so that we can verify that this may be the same problem. I have asked for a dbi trace with explain,errors and asked for a show tables and the definition of the partition. He will be sending me all this data on tape. In the meantime, if this is the problem, is there a workaround? Thanks, Renee
1006.6 | fixed in v7 | BROKE::ABUGOV | Fri Nov 15 1996 07:27 | 10
Hi Renee, There isn't a V3.1 solution for this. We are just about done with V7 (kit has been built for some time). Can we talk off-line - perhaps we can get the customer V7? Thanks, Dan |
