    I was wondering?  If I was married by a JP and then I
    wanted to Marry the same man but in the church (catholic)..would they

    I wouldn't think this would be a problem provided that you would not
    have had a problem getting married in the Church to begin with.  I
    am assuming you are still married and just want to "re-do" the 
    ceremony?  If you are both Catholic then the Church would not 
    recognize that you were married to begin with.  

   The best way to find out would be to call and ask the pastor of your
   Church or the Church where you would be married (if different).

    I discussed the same topic with my priest prior to getting married to
    my husband by a judge.  
    
    Yes you can have your marriage blessed and recognized by the Catholic 
    church provided you do all the necessary prep work (pre cana) ...
    etc....
    
    Just call to talk to your priest about it.
