        Hi, my name is Trea Taylor. I am getting hitched to Scott McReynolds
    on Nov.1,1997 I CANT WAIT!!!! This will be my second and his first.
    he is a fellow DECie and works the same shift as I here in Hudson.
    We live together, drive to work together, take all our breaks together,
    and our days off are (u guessed it) spent together!!! he is my best
    friend I wouldn't want to spend my time with anyone else. 
    The wedding will be somewhere between small and med. sized 75-100
    people. My future mother inlaw (also a DECie) turned us on to this file
    and its just what I've been looking for!!! Thanx mom!!!!

Hi, my name is Jeff Bergart.  I am a new JP in the Town of Acton.  I've always
wanted to be a JP and now, after a long wait, I was recently appointed.

I consider myself open minded about ceremonies. I feel that a marriage should 
be a serious commitment but that the marriage ceremony itself can and should 
be joyous (even fun!).  I encourage couples to write their own services.  
Under Massachusetts law, only the acknowledgment of this being your free act 
and deed needs to be included.  I also think natural setting are great.  I 
can't wait to perform a service in a hot air balloon, or rafting down a river!
(Of course the service has to be completed while still over Massachusetts air
space!!)

I'd like to do ecumenical weddings.  I am Jewish.  I believe in G-d and am very
comfortable including or excluding references to him (or her!) in the ceremony. 
I just married two Baptists in my home and they wanted me to included 
references to G-d in the service, which I did.  However, I personally would not
feel comfortable quoting Jesus.  I greatly respect his teachings, but as a non-
believer, I feel that it is inappropriate for me to include him in any ceremony 
at which I'd officiate. It is very important that you discuss such issues when 
selecting a JP (or clergy for that matter).

Hi, my name is Brian Man.  I am the Best Man at my friends wedding.  Somehow
I think I'm more nervous than he is.  This is my first time being a Best Man
and I have no idea what I should be doing.  I don't have any doubt that the
groom will utilize me to the best of his ability since he doesn't like to
organize things.  I have so many questions to ask and so many things to
arrange.  I hope that there are some people still around reading this 
notesfile.

FWIW:  The wedding will be on August 10th, 1997 and it will be a "Modern 
Chinese Wedding".  Which means that there is a wedding (in a chapel) and 
reception in the morning and a huge banquet in the evening.  Certain
customs and traditions will be followed and the rest we will "wing it".

    Hi, I'm Cheri.  I got engaged on December 16, 1996, and on
    May 23, 1998, I will become Mrs. Howes.  This is my second, his
    first, and I have a son from my 1st.  Just from reading this file has 
    helped answer a lot of my questions about planning, vows, rings, JP's, 
    including my son in the ceremony, etc, etc!
    We've already booked the place, the JP, the DJ; have bought my dress
    and know where we're getting the invitations.  Still have to get the
    flowers and cake, and the tuxedos, and figure out how to word the
    invites and the seating arrangements.
