883.0. "Problems printing to upper tray in Word 7.0" by ALFSS2::PROCTOR_M () Tue May 27 1997 12:41
I have a customer with the following configuration:
Venturis 5100 running Windows 95 v1.0a and Word v7.0
HP 5P connected via Jet Direct Card using Postscript driver v4.00
Customer has problems when printing to upper tray within Word. The
printer's red light comes on and the display flashes the number 1
indicating the wrong tray. I was able to get the customer to print
to the upper tray when printing a test page or if they print from
the Wordpad. I was also able to get Word to print to the upper tray
if the user changed the printer tray selection to manual and when the
form feed switch on the printer is hit, the print job does print from
the upper tray (as the default printer settings have).
The customer has deleted and recreated the printer and the problem
still results. Other pcs configured in the same manner behave
correctly.
What could be the possible problem?
Thanks,
