864.0. "Hyperlink from WinWord " by ANNECY::16.40.240.206::mercier () Wed Feb 19 1997 07:08

I write a Word document whose content is related to various WWW pages on the
net.

I would like to describe these various pages in my Word document and when the
readers is interested he has only to click on the pointer .Then his WWW
browser will open on the right page.
I know, this is a very usual HTML hyperlink functionality. The point is that
I would like it works for a personn reading my document within WINWORD without
special add-in.

Possible ?
Thank you for your help

Sylvain,

Try this:

1. Select the text you want to link from
2. Open the Insert drop down box
3. Select hyperlink...
(Note, I have MSWord Internet Assistant installed, you can get it at
	www.microsoft.com if need be.)
4. Select the to URL tab
5. Enter the URL you want to link to
6. Click OK
7. Close, save, and click away.

I didn't test it, but this should work.

cheers,
