I got hold of this on CD a couple of months ago, and its barely been off the player since (currently just this and the new Sreaming Trees are getting constant airplay :-)). So thought I'd create this note in case anyone else is into it or knows if there are other records by her/them (don't know if Bif Naked actually means the band, I think not, but just in case) and if she tours (is she likely to get to the UK?). The CD's got 11 tracks (the last ones just spoken word), the main style being Seatlle type riffs over a wide variety of musical backdrops. I know "Daddy's getting married" was a single. It sounds quite similar to "Today" by the Smashing Pumpkins. Most of the lyrics are on the intense and personnal side, there seems to be a lot of soul baring here?!? Track Listing:- 1. Everything 2. Make Like A Tree 3. Daddy's getting Married 4. Tell On You 5. Never Alone 6. Over You 7. Succulent 8. My Whole Life 9. The Letter 10.My Bike 11.The Gross Gross Man I think she's Canadian, the record was recorded there and most of the credits seem to be Canuk related. However, the mailing address is in New York. She also name checks Biohazard for a thank you, so maybe she did some gigs with them? She's also got great tattoos! :-) Any opinions, comments on what seems to be a great album? Guy

Cool chick from what I've seen. I've only know of two songs, Daddy's geeting married and another one... seen the vids actually, but the music is good. She is a Canadian and is on tour right now. She/they plays the smaller clubs as the music isn't well known yet. Dave | |||||

I'm not sure of any tour dates. The band played here in Ottawa a few months ago, and as far as I know, they are still heading west. They played a smaller club here called The Cave, which holds about 100-200 people max. If they come near you, they will be in a small place for sure. Dave |
