1162.0. "Marino, Frank and Mahogany Rush" by OTOOA::BERNARD (STEPHEN BERNARD @OTO) Fri Jun 14 1996 14:30

Does anyone remember this band ? I have been trying to get my
hands on a CD for sometime and cannot find any even at the used/
    recycle CD stores.

They used to play in Burlington Vt all the time in the early 70's. I met Jack
who was the rhythm guitarist for the band for a while. He quit and opened a bar
because he didn't get to stretch out much in the band.

I've wanted their live album for a while. Frank used to do Jimi Hendrix covers
like Purple Haze or something like that.

Have you tried Tower? They seem to have loads of 70's stuff.

All I remember is reading an interview with Frank Marino in which he
struck me as a major league ego-case who claims to have invented
everything new in guitar-playing for the last 20 years.

I think I'll get my chance in AUG sometime to find something from
FM&MR. Apparently there is a Music memorabilia showcase coming to
Ottawa featuring everything from current new/used to the hard to
    find.

I've got two pieces of vinyl, pretty old relics.

For his day, he was the monster. I remember drooling over
Robin Trower records, and Frank Marino. Frank could do
    	Hendrix pretty darn well...

I can dub the vinyl to tape if someone wants it bad enough.

By whom and why was my title changed around. I know it's been along time
since I listened to the music but if memory serves it was Frank Marino
AND Mohogany Rush. Not Mohogany Rush featuring Frank Marino was it ??
as is the impression I get now from the altered heading.

    	Better?

It's generally not recommended that you alphabetize by someone's
1st name, which is why all the topics in here are in the format
    	of

    	last, first

so that note 7.L can alphabetize all the notes correctly.

    Thanks

I'm still new to this Note and that makes sense. I thought someone
    was playing with my head.
