1134.0. "Six Feet Under" by BSS::SMITH_S (the rude dude) Mon Mar 11 1996 16:36

       These guys are a collaboration of Chris Barnes of Cannibal Corpse
    and Alan West from Obituary. Not for the squeamish, West's slow and
    extremely heavy riffs are very reminiscent of his work with Obituary.
       I just saw them play last Friday night at "Pure Energy Nightclub"
    here in Colorado Springs. They have a very extensive schedule and I
    believe they are making their way back east. If you enjoy "moshing"
    as much as I do then you will not want to miss the brutal pit which
    this band brings with them.
    Pure enjoyment.

         Great band, but they need a new drummer.
1134.2CSLALL::SECURITYMADHATTAMon Mar 11 1996 17:526
    Are they doing anything "new", or is it the same Cannibal
    Corpse/Obituary/Nuclear Assault type of music where the singer sounds
    like Cookie Monster? I like those shows, but I can't sit at home and
    listen to the music.

    Maybe kinda like Cookie Monster if he gargled on broken glass and
    nails, and tried screaming through the thick blood and spit. I like
    Barnes' mean, deathly growl. The music is mostly inverted "5th" power
    chords for you musicians that know what's up. Good heavy production.
    Lotsa bass.
1134.4CSLALL::SECURITYMADHATTAMon Mar 11 1996 19:165
    So is it funky, thrashy, gothic, what?

    Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, but always real heavy. The music
    has lots of changes, starts & stops.

    S.F. Under + Immolation and Internal Bleeding played last Tue. @the Rat at
    Boston, and will be playing this Wed. at El & Gee Club in New London, CT.
    Did you like the new stuff from Immolation? I think Immolation should
    headline instead. They have their own style, heavy and Ross has that
    deathly vocals. S.F. Under sounds like: Obiturary playing with Chris
    sings instead of John Tardy.

    Hey Daemon, this might be a good time to put up your updated price list
    for your CD's. Print your address or send it to me. I think you said
    you were going to move a couple of months ago.
