Here is a short review of Nevermore's self titled album, Nevermore. I can't give you track listings since it is in my car at this time, but overall I like the cd. It has some good guitar work IMO and some decent drumming also, and the bass is defined well. They are former members of Sanctuary (at least 3 started the band and there are I think 5 members in it or only 4 now...have to check the cd again!). Singer kind of reminds me somewhat of Rob Halford at moments and the singer from Shadow Gallery in others, especially the 3rd track on the cd, VERY Shadow Gallery-ish IMO! Overall I like this album, and am not sure if there is a second one by them. Heavy, not really thrashy as I expected, overall decent in my books, a worthy purchase! I'll try to give track listing and band member information later on, i.e., I'll get it from the car this morning! Mike

New one has been out for a bit, The Politics of Ecstacy. Thrashy, good production, one tune (and a blurb in the liner) deals sort of with the guy who is doing 10 yrs for drugs which he apparently was set up by the DEA over a 2 yr period while others with more violent crimes do less time, etc...I remember seeing some of this on the tube awhile back, but don't remember the shows name. He got bagged, but if he was set up, then it isn't right to do 10 yrs.... Enough rambling on that topic, the disc is pretty good, if you liked their first release (self-titled) you would like this one. I've been wanting to get this and finally have and am glad I did.

TPoE is a good thrashy album with some good double-bass drumming. Still technical thrash though, and the song "Tiannamen Man"(sp) is pretty good! If you liked the self-titled release you would most likely like this one also.
