1120.0. "Mr. Mirainga" by WONDER::REILLY (Sean / Alpha Servers DTN:223-4375) Fri Jan 12 1996 08:10

'AAF's been playing "Burnin' Rubber" and I have to say, it's
a sort of bizarre little ditty :^) In a good way. Found these
    bio excerpts on the band...

Mr. Mirainga

Mamba-Punk, Samba-Core, call it what you will, but the four total bastards that
are Mr. Mirainga (Mer-aine-Ge) know how to make it lame and bad-ass. Mr.
Mirainga's debut EP Fuck The Scene delivers a South-Of-The-Border assault that
resembles an alcohol- induced night spent in a Tijuana jail. Sounding hell-born
at demon-seed, a spawn of Sid Vicious and Selena, the band rips the conventions
of punk and alternative rock alike.

Hedge tries to explain the band's philosophy. "Yeah, we're the shallowest band
around." We're not a part of any scene in particular. We are an Arizona band.
That's where our band was born. That's where our roots are. That's where the
magic started. We all melted from the heat."

Mr. Mirainga's awareness is far from clouded by their social activities (which
include drinking and drinking more.) "People will argue that we got signed
because punk is fashionable of late," says Hedge, "And you know what? They are
probably right. We've definitely fooled the record company. We signed with Way
Cool Music because they promised us a case of tequila. But we haven't seen a
fuckin' drop yet! They made a big mistake by signing us."

    decent music............what a concept!.................../k
p.s. that leaves the bands out that write stuff about their kitty's,

Excellent, finally a band that thinks like me...

That's cool, but I think the internet doesn't follow the
same restrictions for profanity as Digital...

What's even sicker, is that if the Government finally gets
the regulation it wants, big brother could take over...

No nudity, no profanity, no pictures of actual alcohol
    	consumption...
