| Anyone else in the band noteable?
I'm a big Slayer fan, but i've never heard of these guys before.
Any other info on them?

| This is not Slayer. This band takes it IMO to a new level. The
songs are a little more melodic, better structured, but the pounding
by this drummer is there.
A guy called Waldemar Sorychta plays guitar and the other 2 guys
are Gus Chambers and Jason Vielbrooks. The CD was recorded in Germany
and the souns is awesome.
If I were you I would take my chances. I read quite a few reviews
before buying it and I'm not dissapointed at all.
I like Slayer a lot, but to me these guys take the concept to a new
level. Slayer seems to be a little repetitive, while these guys play
a much broader spectrum of music.
The CD opens up with some drum sequences, but immediately the
guitar comes up with an opening augmented further by the pounding
drums. After that, the CD takes off..
Buys it. You'll not be dissapointed.

| Well, it's Monday.
I have to say that Grip inc. is a very good album. The drumming is very
good as is the music as a whole. Like stated previously, the songs are
quite intelligent, kinda eerie in a way with regards to the Pediphile
song (track 3?).
Anyways I know it's a good CD, but does anyone know why Lombardo was
dumped from Slayer? Or did he leave on his own? He still can pound
those skins!!!
Again guys, you were right, this is a real f@$%#ing good album.

I read a couple of interviews about the Slayer-Lombardo thing.
Slayer said that Lombardo couldn't do it anymore.
Lombardo seems to be a little more political about the whole thing.
He said the musucal differences were too big now to be playing
together.
Both interviews hint though, the 2 sides would not work together
again, so there had to be a split.
In a way I'm glad, bacause I think GRIP Inc hada heck ofa debut.
The last Slayer was that, same old Slayer. It's nice to see new bands
like this come up every now and then.
I don't know if you have heard this CD, but if you liked GRIP Inc
you will like all DEATH albums. Also, I suggest you give Machine Head
a serious listen. These guys also rock!!

impressive. I'll check for these guys at the occasion.

It was a song from Power of Inner Strength.
On the same CD there was a great song (Cold Prejudice) from the first album
of a band named Deviate.

| The new "Nemesis" CD is even better than PoIS. Heavier and with even
greater punch. Eleven songs lasting almost 40 mins. Very tight playing,
powerful vocals not to mention Lombardo's drumming. "Rusty nail" is a
really killer song .. and it's not the only one. Great production from
Waldemar Sorychta (who is also part of the band as guitarist).
Highly recommended !

| For the Slayer/lombardo fans, NEMESIS by Grip Inc is out now. I got
a chance to hear this copy about 3-4 weeks ago from my local dealer who
in turn got his directly from Metal Blade as a promo.
A bit different from their first effort, but for all those into
Waldemar Sorchyta's magic as a composer and producer this is a good
one.
Lombardo plays the drums very nicely, and Chambers sings better
(IMO) than in their debut.
All in all, I think this is a very good CD.
