1066.0. "Flesh" by BUSY::BUSY::SLABOUNTY (Trouble with a capital 'T') Wed Mar 15 1995 07:55

    	I picked up their self-titled CD the other night ... but I
    	think there's a problem with it:

    	apparently someone mis-labelled an Extreme CD and stuck it
    	in Flesh packaging.

    No, that can't be....the music is to good to be an Extreme album.

1066.2but Saturday should be a fun comparison!POOKY::OROURKEM I C...K E YWed Mar 15 1995 09:448

    Shawn....I must disagree with you (such a surprise! :^) ).  IMO, there's
    little comparison between "FLESH" and "Waiting for the Punchline". The
    former has its merits but is full of rather light and fluffy gimmicks
    (i.e. Beavis & Butthead line) while the later is much more consistent
    not to mention 20-shades darker.

    	Well, I haven't heard "Waiting for the Punchline" so I can't
    	compare anything with that one ... but I do have the 1st 3
    	albums and "Flesh" sounds quite similar to at least the 1st
    	2.

    This is an advert for the new Flesh album that appeared in the Boston
    Phoenix last week.

    MUSIC...WORDS...RYTHMS.....drawn from the soul and intertwined with
    spirit - this is the sound of Flesh. There self titled, debut CD only
    begins to capture the essence of the bands vision.
    To really understand what Flesh's music is all about, you have to
    listen with your ears and an open mind. Words such as funky, hard rock,
    light hearted, and tender have all been used to describe Flesh's
    sound-but as you can tell from the diversity of these adjectives, it's
    hard to pinpoint.
