| I saw their concert on MTV the other day and thought it was
some funny stuff!! Is the singer bullsh*ting his "English"
accent or what? I heard they're from Seattle?!? (Actually,
I heard this on WAAF, so *it* might be bullsh*t!!)

First off, they're n ot from Seattle -- they're from Cali ... and
derrive their name from their home town, which is apparently pot
capitol of the world.
Yeah, singer Billie Joe openly admits he is putting on that English
accent. He touts it as "an american band imitating the style of the
late 70s british punk bands, who were imitating the style of the mid
70s american bands."

| a) English accent? Doesn't sound English to me. Sounds like Keanu Reeves in
Bram Stoker's Dracula, or like Dick van f*****g Dyke in Mary Poppins.
b) Anyone who likes Green Day can't have heard the Manic Street Preachers.
They've been doing this stuff (better) for 5 years. MSP, the original 90s
punk revivalists. Check them out...

I have the first MSP album and while the music is quite good,the lyrics
are waaaay to "preachy"(for want of a better word)Out of the 1st album
there are only about 5 songs that are worth listening to!
the second album was shite!
...as for Green day...I like them!

It's not bad. Nothing really stands out yet after 1 listen,
like a couple off of "Dookie" did. But I'll have to give it
another try.
Very short ... I'd say less than 40 minutes for 14 tracks.

Yeh man,
it's not a bad album.I guess I like it though because it's
entertaining music with light lyrics.Just the sort of stuff which U
pur
on & enjoy with easy tunes to catch.
U can't be surprised with its heavy Dookie connotation but
is's packed up ith energy.
I'll give it 7/10.
