    	A Zakk album?

Alright!! That'll be the next one I buy. Well, after the
Vince Gill and Kathy Mattea albums I plan on getting, any-
    	ways.

| | i've been listening to this for a couple of days now. zakk's playing is superb.
and not a bad mix of styles too. the first track has banjo playing intro/outro
and there are acoustic tracks, wild hendrix type wah wah solos throughout -
and soundgardenlike dropped d tuning riffing (he was retuning between songs
without fretting, something i wish i could do 8^(.
best so far are horse called war and troubled wine.

I got it last week, and listened to it Saturday night.

Maybe I wasn't in the mood for it or something, but I wasn't
impressed. I found myself waiting for the next guitar solo
most of the time, which was never a disappointment. But even
I want more than just a bunch of guitar solos [unless it's an
    	instrumental album, of course].

    	I'll have to try again.

I'm willing to bet a week's salary (laugh at will) that
Zack will blow through a number or two with the Skynard
gang. It's in his new bag.

| | Anyone ever hear their version of Sabbath's "The Wizard"?
ZW tunes his low 'E' string *way* down to 'A' for this one.

Has anyone bought the new album yet?

Again, if you're expecting to hear an instrumental album by a
heavy metal guitarist then you'll be disappointed. This is
very similar to the Pride & Glory album ... almost has an
Allman Brothers sound to it, but with Zakk on guitar instead
of whoever played guitar for them. But this album is more
    	laid-back than Pride & Glory.

He retains James[?] Lomenzo from Pride and Glory, but the
    	other guy is new.
