They've traditionally been too "alternative" sounding for most of the
people in this conference. That kind of changed with "Broken". I've
liked Trents stuff for quite awhile myself.

Um..."loud and undecipherable"? I didn't think Pretty Hate Machine was
either loud (most of the time) or undecipherable. Are you confused
about what the "first" album is?
I'd heard a different name for the new NIN album, something like
Downward Spiral. Is this one an EP or a full length album?

| I heard a couple of tracks at my friend's house. Sounded good, much
like "Broken" though (the heavier stuff). But I haven't heard the whole
thing myself. He said the rest was similar, and not like PHM.

Too hard. Lots of Ministry-esque vocals.
They alienated alot of there fans with this one.....
Some songs would be fine if it wasn't for the sh!te voice mixes..

RE: -2 I listed to both yesterday. You are right, Broken is close
to the Downward Spiral, however it was not considered a major release
just an ep. DS is a full length album, and I (like most) expected
better and was dissapointed.

| Hey! What happened to al the NIN fans????? They are absolutely my
favorite.. I was wondering if anyone know about any upcoming shows
for NIN.
I love every cd they've ever made. I cannot find further down the
spiral anywhere though... :^(
I'll agree with everyone that Pretty Hate Machine was the best album,
then broken...
I had to adapt to TDS but I loved it.
I'd love to get to know some true NIN fans.. I rarely meet any true
fans..

| I actually just heard something about NIN. One of my buddies was
talking to someone at a local radio station and was told that the rumour
is, NIN will be coming to Ottawa with Stabbing Westward. If this is
true, it will be one show that I will not miss.
Does anybody know for sure if they are currently on tour or if they are
indeed planing on doing a tour?

ya know there is several songs out my NIN recently, on different
soundtracks... There is one called "Burn" on the "Natural Born Killers"
cd (AWESOME MOVIE!!!) and one on "The Crow" soundtrack, not sure of the
name of it and the newest one "The Perfect Drug"....
Does anyone know which soundtracks the other two are off of? And which
songs were created first? In what order?
This isn't a quiz... I just want to get my facts straight...
Has anyone bought the remix album of closer called further away?
It was made in the UK but it pretty cool....

THen you need to write about something relevant, like houses, sports,
amusement parks, firetrucks, drugs, etc. or make some remark that can
be "Beavis and Buttheaded", that is, have some sexual reference constructed
from it ie. "heh-heh, she said wood, heh"
OR... become a death metal fan, ie. any band whose name has to do with
putrefaction, necrosis. 8^)x1000
Soon you'll get the hang of it and your love and appreciation of H_M will grow

According to Billy C. of The Smashing Pumpkins, they may be touring
again this summer accompanied by Chris V of NIN doing some 'electronic
stuff'. However, Billy said he can't guarantee anything since Chris is
a Pisces. Interesting business concept...letting astrological signs
