| YES!! I saw that vid. I thought it was pretty good too. The singing
left a lot to be desired though. I'm very tempted to get the album,
but the singing was so bad I'm kinda holding back. They did say it
wasn't a typical Cathedral song, so maybe the rest sound better.
For anybody who didn't see it, they sound A LOT like old lk Sth.
The singers appearance reminded me a little bit of Chris Robinson...
had the bellbottoms & all...
I do think the band Trouble, who also sound a lot like Black Sabbath,
are better though. But then again, all I've heard is that one song, so
maybe I'll have to go look for the album to find out what the rest
sound like!
If you get it first Shawn, post a review!

| It`s actually Lee Dorian,ex-Napalm Death who is singer.
The video is inspired by the Black Saabarf 'Paranoid' video, apparently.

The song is called "Midnight Mountain", and it's on "The
Ethereal Mirror".
I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but it's not
too bad. They sound like White Zombie at times.

| Tranalation:
Ian recently viewed a music video performance on the television
by the band "Cathedral". Ian thought it was "bollocks", which
loosely translates to BALLS (testicles).
Now the confusing part of this colloquilism (BALLS) is that in the
mid-western area of the United States, BALLS (used as a transitive) may
indicate approval, and even in some cases, total buy off.
However, I feel qualified (due to my Scottish heritage) to interject
that Ian feels that Cathedral "Inhales", and testicles have little to
do with it (except perhaps the lack thereof).
Is that better? Did I translate well, Ian??
;-)

| It`s an amusing thing to note that in British speak, when you say
"It`s the dogs bollocks" that means it`s really good.
Ie,if ian said "Cathedral is the dog`s bollocks" that means it`s
excellent.
However,as he said "Cathedral is bollocks" that means it`s shite.
Is that clear?

Alright, so it isn't the best album in the world ... but it isn't
the worst, either. I don't think. 8^)
Heck, at least I only paid $13 for it so I could listen to "Mid-

You don't like them!? I picked up The Ethereal Mirror and loved it
after listening to it about 4-5 times....took a bit to grow with
Dorrians vocals. I termed these guys DOOM metal on that album, and even
more so on The forest of equilibrium (VERY SLOW/HEAVY) and Soul
Sacrifice (an EP of that title I have on tape) is like half-speed than
the tape version! I don't like FoE as much as TEM, but I picked up
there EP from last year and it is more rockin like Sabbath, kinda goofy
lyrics on part of one song, sort of rappy a bit but just as minor
overtones I guess. I also just picked up The Carnival Bizarre,
excellent artwork a-la The Ethereal Mirror, actually, all of theres is
like this for artwork! This is the type of music I get into when I am
in the mood for it! Head banging, doomy/gloomy, heavy! The last sounds
sort of sabbath-like too! Grind, Grind, Grind! Ooowaaaahh! (dorrian
growl!).

Tony Iommi recorded 10 or 12 different solos for this band to
be used on their latest release as they wish.
Must be nice,

write 10-12 songs around guitar solos that are already record-
ed.

I should have been more clear...Tony recorded different solos
to be used on ONE tune of their new CD...the band decided which
one to use I guess.
