A colleague of mine is in the band called Electric Blue. They do a lot of
gigs in the Home Counties area. here's a notice of a gig they will be
doig in the near future.

Hi there,
Just to let you know that we would love you & your friends, mates,
partners, colleagues, to come to our special private showcase gig
where we will be playing to reps in the music industry etc. It will
be a mega show with great lighting & sound.
we are: THE ELECTRIC BLUE
We play melodic but hard edged power rock
DATE: Saturday 17th JULY 8pm
Tickets: 2 pounds in advance, 3 pounds on the night
VENUE: ALLEYCAT COMPLEX RECORDING STUDIOS, HODSOLL RD, READING
ph.588889. lotsa parking. 10 mins walk from station. Access from
inner dist rd, or through station one way system.
DIRECTIONS
From Inner Distribution Rd, take exit that has CO-OP LIVING on the right,
& WICKES DIY visible front/left. From the station going South, this is the first
exit. From the south, this is the 2nd exit for Oxford/Oxford Rd (first exit
is for police station, Hexagon/Oxford). Don't go straight on,
this is the Caversham/Station route.
Follow the road left past Weldale (Renault?) car park,
into Chatham st, past the BUTLERS pub on left. down to roundabout
by the swimming pool(George St) (pub on corner). Turn right at roundabout into
Great Knollys St.(Hills Rubber Co on left).
Turn left into Hodsoll rd.
All this takes about 5 mins if you get it right!
Complex is on right (old brick factory) fenced off opposite
a small park left of it, & next to the railway line, salubrious, huh!
The upstairs bar serves cheap beer & meals/snacks/coffees etc & has a video,
TV, juke box. You can come anytime to eat/drink, it's open all the time
BUT we will have a Bar set up specially for our showcase so
you don't need to exit the showcase studio area!
GOOD CHEAP BEER!! GOOD LIVE ATMOSPHERE, A GOOD ROCKIN' NIGHT OUT!

| I thought Robert Holmes, Ex Til Tuesday's band was called Electric
