942.0. "Arcade" by QRYCHE::STARR (Love and hope and sex and dreams) Tue Mar 30 1993 11:40
I got a promo copy of this CD. Unfortunately, there's no cover with it, all
I have is the CD itself in a blank jewel box, so there's not much info I
can provide. Here's a track listing:
Dancin' With The Angels
Nothin' To Lose
Calm Before The Storm
Cry No More
Screamin' S.O.S.
Never Goin' Home
Messed Up World
All Shook Up
So Good...So Bad...
Livin' Dangerously
Sons and Daughters
Mother Blues
All the writing credits are variations on (Pearcy/Coury/Vallance/Angel), so
I assume this is the new band made up of Steven Pearcy of Ratt and Fred
Coury of Cinderella. "Vallance" is probably Jim Vallance, best know for
being Bryan Adams' co-writer. And "Angel" might be Boston's own Johnny Angel
(formerly of the roolin' band Johnny A's Hidden Secrets), who I had heard
was living in LA now and writing tunes.
The album isn't too bad. It sorta like Ratt, but rocks a little harder. The
first song "Dancin' With The Angels" sounds like it came directly off of
Aerosmith's "Draw The Line" album! Great tune! The rest of the stuff isn't
quite as good, but it is better than I expected.
I'll give it a few more listens before I post a full review...

| These guys actually have a song that's getting airplay now. I forget the
title, but it's moved into the Top 30 with a bullet in Billboard's Rock Chart.

I wonder if its the ballad thats on the CD that your talking about.
I heard it a few times around here in Colo and heard it a few times
when I was in Cal a few weeks ago. I bought the CD, its OK but nothing
really outstanding, still it has a few tunes that are pretty good.
