| Slash did some stuff with Lenny. Slash "donated" the songs to Lenny
because "the songs were too funky for Steven" (GnRs originall drummer).

| Yeah, I was gonna mention the work Slash did on several of the songs on
"Mama Said". Apparently he and Lenny are good friends. I really like
what I've heard of Lenny's stuff. Saw some concert footage of him on
that "In Concert" show a few months ago.

| Lenny rooolz!!!! his first lp sounds a bit Beatlesque, but frmo the
60s, not the 70s, so it's still way cool. The 2nd album is more rocked
out, but it still cool -- can't wait to hear the new one.
Saw a clip of the video, Lenny is playing a Flying V ala Jimi!!

926.5 | Tone = Gibson | GOES11::G_HOUSE | It's NOT a tumor!! | Tue Feb 09 1993 14:32 | 4 |
| Yeah, I saw that same clip. Lenny's definitely a Gibson kinda guy. He
normally plays a Les Paul.

better than the previous. I've added it to my list to get next time.

926.13 | Kravitz, Lenny part II | JGO::NIEMANTS | | Wed Mar 09 1994 13:23 | 16 |
| HI,
I Looked if there was a file about Lenny Kravitz, my favourite. I
found a file (926) but theconversation stopped on 12 March 1993.
Is it possible to begin again with a file about Lenny?
I have seen him five times in concert in Holland and Belgium and all
the concerts were great. Last year at the Torhout/Werchter festival his
guitar didn't work and he improvised on the drums and that was great.
I heard he is going on tour trough the USA with the Lemonheads.
Does somebody know when he is going to Europe and when he releases a
new album?

| Seen Lenny last night on Howard Stern. It was pretty cool. The only
thing they talked about was all the women Lenny has laid. Anybody
heard anything about a new album? I read in Rolling Stone about
six months ago that he had a jazz album due out this year. That was
in Lenny`s words, so I don`t know what happened. He also said that he
had written a screenplay about a rock star rising to the top(starring
himself of course), but his record company would`nt finance it.
That would be too cool.

Christian slant he's taken on this one.
Cool.

| Never heard Lenny? He writes about Jesus and God alot like he`s a
christian. Yet he smokes weed and so on. He`s a "natural guy".

Heard somewhere that he kept on the 'Christian Thing' on behalf of his
mother. Who was Roxy Roker (sp). She played on The Jefferson's as the
Jefferson's neighbors. (she was black and he was white... those guys.)
Anywho, she wanted Lenny to stay on the side of Jesus or something like
that.
Good music tho.
