    Night Shade is a follow-up to Q5 around two of the original members,
    Johnatan K (vocals) and Rick Pierce (guitars). It's a four men band and
    sounds very close to .. Q5. Guitar driven heavy metal with hooking
    melodies and raging guitar riffs.
    The new album is called "Dead of night" and deserves good
    recommendations. The opening track, "Surrender", is a killer rocker
    much in the way of Q5's "When the mirror cracks". "Prophesy 1616" is
    another killer rocker and all the rest of the 10 songs are very fine.
    No thrash, no funk, no rap, just melodic and punchy heavy metal typical
    for the mid eighties. The guitarist is really impressing and quite
    generous with his interventions.

    Any info on where I can pick up a copy of Q5?  I remember 
    listening to it a LONG time ago and liking it, but can't

Q5's "When the mirror cracks" was released by Music For Nations on a CD together
with "Steel the light" (a previous album of Q5) in 1986. I bought it here in
Belgium 2 years ago but it should be still available (I've seen it few times).

    I used to have a copy of Steal the light and it was excellant!I only 
    heard  "when the mirror cracks" once and wasn't that impressed.
