821.0. "Frozen Ghost? Please??" by AUNTB::MONTGOMERY (D-D-D-Dittos!) Fri Mar 20 1992 23:36
OK. Alright. I admit I'm here out of sheer desperation. I've been
through everything else I know to go through. I've looked in VTX and
found conferences on everything from Christian/Gospel to New Wave to
Classical to Alternative to Beatles to Grateful Dead. Why is there not
a conference for just plain old rock??? (Or better yet, plain new
rock?)
In here I see a large conglomerate, discussions from Buddy Holly on.
So here goes. (insert very deep breath here.)
I'm looking for any information, any at *all* (except what I already know
which is easily gleaned from covers) on a rock group out of Toronto
called Frozen Ghost. I wouldn't consider them HM but then I also
wouldn't consider Foghat or Elton John to be HM.
8 days ago I picked up their new release, "Shake Your Spirit". Since
then I've been on overload, I'm strung out really bad on this recording.
In fact I'm plugged into it now and do hope I'm making sense. If I
could just find out a few things about them, I think I could maybe get
a real grip on myself again.
Please, someone help me. I have to get back to reality soon or I'll be
lost forever.
Helen, who doesn't really expect any response because she's the only FG
fan in the world..................

Wow, see what the EJ note has caused? There was a similar note in
HYDRA::RADIO_RADIO that got about the same attention that it will
probably get here, very little. A discussion on Frozen Ghost
might get a better discussion in TIMBRE::MUSIC.
MUSIC is sort of a catch all for rock/pop, etc. there may even
be a note in the MUSIC_V3 archived conference on them. MUSIC is
almost what classic rock is to radio although lately I've noticed
more and more overlap with some other music related conferences.
I can't comment on any of there recent stuff but I want to end it
here.
Don't tell me how I should vote!
