quite punk oreintated but ok.

I vaguely recall a song of theirs called "You Love Us" that sounds
like something straight out of the 60's beat era and may have even
been a pseduo-cover thing. It sounded more than a little similar.
They must have changed considerably to be discussed here.

| They've gained notoriety in certain sections of the English music
press due to their "bad-boy" antics. Although they look as though
they've stepped off a time-machine from 1977 they're sound is more
Hard Rock than Punk, though they'd have you believe otherwise.
Going back to their "antics", the NME published a photo of one of the
band members who'd cut the words "Real" into his forearm, a sort of
"dying for my art" statement, reminiscent of that other d*ckhead Sid
Vicious. Rock n Roll or just plain stupid? The latter without a doubt.

| cutting yourself up seems to be quite popular.I remember Tyler from
Dogs D'Amour rammed a broken bottle into his chest on stage somewhere.
One the pretty stupid thing to do scale, that must be in the top 3.

One of the guys in Nine Inch Nails has a habit of throwing a bottle
up in the air after the show and let it drop and break over his head.

for release in the next fortnight.
"You love us" is excellent. Real trashy.

| Just had to mention these guys.
Let us not forget Stiv Bator when he was with the Deadboys. He used
to cut and beat the heck out of himself.. Used to stick his head in
the Base drum while being played. Then the drummer would hit him off
the head with it.
Then there was always Darby Crash of the GERMS.
Good times and bad times you know there all the same..

| Was'nt Stiv Bators also in Lords of the New Church with ex-Damned
guitarist Brian James? Come to think of it is'nt Bators now deceased?
Or I am confusing him with some other old Punk who bit the dust last
year?
Add Julian Cope's name to the list of on-stage self abusers. Angry
Anderson of Rose Tattoo also had his moments.

natural causes !

"Who Loves You" when I rambled on a few back...which I'm quite sure
is cover but don't recall who did it.

After telling everybody they were going to split up once they'd made
one album the Manic Street Preachers are now set to release their
second.
Dont know what they're playing at but from the sounds of the new single
'From despair to where' the new album promises to be as good if not
better than the first.

| they are a very bad cliche, they try to promote themselves as bad boys
and come across as total fannies!I have the 1st album too and for me
its a bit too self righteous.I programme my cd player for about 6 songs
out of the 17 that are on it and call it a halt there!

them on the telly the other night, what a bunch of fannies. The lead
singer is a total tosser. The guy thinks its 1976 all over again. One of
their songs was called "thanks, armitage shanks",mildly humerous.

| Yes. I don`t particularly like the Sultans of Ping F.C,but i do approve
of their love of football. I remember reading an interview with them,
and their favourite chant is "You`re going home in a *******
ambulance".
er,unlike mine which is "You`re going to get you`re ******* head kicked
in".
