beside myself because I was *so* close to one of Herb Schmeck's
[yet another] amazing out-and-back style roller coasters, but I
swore from a distance that the script-style nuclear-green lettering
said 'POISON'!!

Well, Hey! the Logo sticks out!! at the moment we're just tryin
to scrape some money together to get the tapes done, gets sorta ruff
when everyone in the band doesn't have a job!! But once we do, I'll
be sure to get them out to everyone.. But ya gotta watch it, it might
be considered 'poser' music! ;')

Yup, I've seen it before.. The have some chick singer... don't know
how they sound, almost was gonna send for the CD, but don't wanna
support their band!! ;')
We've put in for the name a long time ago, so we should be set...
I believe I singer has the paperwork for it along with the copywrite
for all our songs...
Still sucks though! I thought Mystery City was sorta original!

| Hey JW...
Here's a short cut that's legal. Instead of paying the $15.00/song to
copyright them with congress, send the whole tape (however many songs)
and copyright the entire tape as "Mystery City Volume One", or "Mystery
City 90-91 collection" or some umbrella-type of label. The songs are
now legal under that title, and you only have to pay the $15.00 for the
copyright of the lable, which includes all of the songs, as opposed to
each and every song individually.

unlawful duplication/distribution of said material.
a (c) copyright lable copyrights the work itself.
Make sure you get a (p) and a (c) copyright on your work!

he gets like 3 songs for the price of 1.. I'm not sure how he does it

The song authors would be included in the copyright form anyways.
Rights do not go simply to the person apply for the copyright.

Not. Otherwise, everytime someone muttered or typed in the words
'Mystery City', we'd have to pay JW royalties upon his request.

and appropriate people are on the form,, (not always everyone)

How did we come up with the name? hehehe.. Weeeellll..
We where sitting around one night, (the singer and I) trying to think
of a name.. We had all recently had Girlfriend problems, so we decided
to name ourselves 'Slut' Then after a few days, a realizing that the
name probably would'nt go over well, we decided to look through all of
Dave's tapes and get ideas from the song lists on them...
So, We came up with something with 'City Kids' in it, so we almost used
that, But then we came across the Hanio Rocks album with 'Welcome to
Mystery City'.. liked the sound of it.. and kept it...
That pretty much sums it up!

Deringers show went great... alot better than I thought.. We hired
our own soundguy, so everything sounded GREAT.. (for once!) great
response.. felt sorry for this chick in the front row, our drummer
broke his stick and it beamed her in the eye.. then she grabbed the
stick and asked if he'd sign it... ;') pretty funny...

Nah not always.... I have a lot of different likes, for when I
am in different moods.. Sometimes slow stuff RTz, Boston, Tyketto
Sometimes poppy stuff D�, White Lion stuff like that.
But most of the time I am in a metal mood Megadeth, Metallica (old stuff)
Metal Church, Vicious Rumors, Meliah Rage, and so on, and so on..
As far as my P_N goes.... I heard it in a poppy song (can't remember
what it was) and it seemed to stick with my tastes and personality..

| I saw Mystery Jones the week before, and I don't think that they are
any better than you guys. IMHO You'll give em a run for their money!
I don't know where the sound guy came from, but all the bands sounded
muddy to me, and really loud. (am I getting old?) The sound board
looked like an antique. He needed to work on getting your vocals alot
clearer, if anything. Again, IMHO. Anyone else who was there have
any opinions on the sound?

The board was OOOLLLLDDDD. We brought in our own soundman, but after
the 2nd band played, the cops showed up saying there was complaints
from the house next door. So, they wouldn't let our soundman do what
he wanted with the sound.....

No, it was normal. 16x4x2 ... your a-typical mixing board. Kind
of neat, it had 2 fx buses and a 5 band eq/channel. I forget the
brand name, but it's something like a Ramsa or such...

to believe, as A) they suck, and B) Mystery Jones, who are/were also in
