As of late, both Freddy Mercury from Queen, and Eric Carr from
Kiss have died. Freddy from AIDS, and Eric from cancer.
Please share your feelings on these two great artists, and
let's remember them together.

I really can't share any feelings on Eric Carr..
Freddy Mercury was one of the greatest musicians who ever lived. His
being dead is a serious loss to the musical community. Its hard to
imagine him not being around anymore, like when Steve Ray Vaughn died,
it seems as though its just not possible for someone so beautiful to be
gone. Its very sad.

I'm new to this conference, and wouldn't you know it, this is the
FIRST note I read!
Anyways, I found myself almost in tears Sunday night on my way home
from practice, when the dj told us the news about Freddy. I was
really crushed, because I have been enjoying Queen's music for
years, and have always found Freddy to be one of my favorite
Singers.
As for Eric, I found that news to be quite a blow also. When Kiss
lost Peter Criss, I was shocked at the time (So I loved Kiss in
High school!), and I wasn't about to let an "Outsider" into MY
band, but after a while was I very impressed by Eric's style of
drum playing. He was excellent! Then a couple of years ago (maybe
4 or 5) I got to meet Eric Carr at Kiss concert at the Centrum. He
was a really terrific guy.
So, yes, it was a really sad weekend...

I watch the Queen "box o' flix"the other day.Its basically 2 video
tapes of all their music from the start to the end(minus 2 songs)and a
few promo stuff from 1973.Good viewing and really funny ie the campness
of the "crazy little thing called love" and "I want to break free "
vids.He was a excellant from man and had a unique style which made him
stand out.
As for Eric Carr, never was into Kiss so I can't comment.

Is "I want to break free" the video where they're all in drag, and
freddie is ironing in a wig with his moustache? Not sure which video
that is, but it's a riot.
