This topic is for the british band Cerebral Fix. I've listened their (new) album, "Tower of spite" and I like it. The music is riff driven. Very heavy and catchy riffs, a bit like early Black Sabbath but updated to new standards. It's not thrash, nor speed, just medium to fast very heavy riffing. All this with a 'heavy' voice (some may not like it). If you like heavy riffs than that's for you. Me, I like it and listened the CD already few times. The overall mood is quite dark but not exagerated. Very heavy drumming too. CF recall me a bit the other british band, Re-animator, which is also very heavy but more thrashy (their first two albums not the last). All the songs on the CD are quite well balanced. Recommended ! Sorin

Actually, they`ve just released a 2nd album delightfully called "Bastards". It`s got good reviews, and is better than the first album, apparently. I saw them support NAPALM DEATH,and thought they were excellent. Also, check out the band BOLTHROWER,if you like British grungy thrash. Joe Strummer. | |||||

Re. 'pril I think Cerebral Fix is darker than (early) Black Sabbath but they are less dark than Sepultura (and CF isn't a thrasher). Sorin PS. Sepultura is very dark but also one of the very best thrashers today. |
