802.0. "Mortification" by MILKWY::LE (GivepraisetoSatan,he'saGodofGods) Fri Sep 27 1991 09:53
The band brutal death metal from Warren, MI. It sounds
more like fast aggressive thrash/death to me, it's not BRUTAL
death metal. I'm not saying that's bad, just a little misleading.
The music is okay thrash/death, taking influence from bands such
as SADUS, HEXX, and VIO-LENCE (you know, the good Bay Area bands).
The guitar sound is way too high and scratchy to for this to be
considered true death metal. They need a full heavy sound. The
vocals are rough screams which compliment the music well. Once
again the blasts (kind of) aren't to my liking, the rest of the
drumming is cool though. Some songs just kinda' breeze right by
while others, like "Electro Narcosis," and "Blasphemy Reborn"
stand out. This is mostly due to the changes within the songs.
If the song is all speed is usually gets a little boring. It's
good to have a lot of music on the tape, but 8 songs would impress
more people (especially the record companies).
