    btw, the lead singer is prettier than Jani Lane of Warrant *and* Bret

    	of nice guys, Cool album.. I'd go see them... They are playin

           One song on the album "Wake me up" was written by Bret
    Michaels.
            I hate kissing you goodbye is one one the worst songs on the
    album...IMO!

    That singer looks IDENTICAL to bret from Poison. The guitar player,
    from what I could see had cool hair, but should lose the 'toss my hair
    whilst I hit that 5th' image. Its old, but then again maybe he's making
    up for not having any chops!

    Somehow I doubt that TUFF will sell a MILLION albums.... If they do I'm
    sure it will suprise even them. If it took poison a year to sell less
    than 2 million than I doubt that this band will sell a million in 5

    That's true, about 12 million actually, but you can't compare TUFF to
    GNR because, look at GNR's music and attitude, they are controversy
    starters, the madonna of rock so to say, while TUFF probably won't get
    any of the publicity that GNR get's, but as you said you never
    know.....

    I listed to Tuff's album the other day while taking a long trip in the
    truck.  I'm glad my daughter bought the tape and not me.  I was bored
    by the songs and couldn't wait for the tape to end so I caould get it
    outta there and throw on something else.  IMO, I wouldn't bother.
    The music just didn't get my juices flowing!!

    I've heard them and thats the major reason I'm giving them a hard time
    not just their looks.The song "I hate kissing you goodbye" is what we

    IMHO, Tuff are a POISON clone band...they look and sound just like them
    on their 1st album.  Poison is going nowhere fast after 4 albums and 
    tours, so TUFF is going to fare any better??  Probably not...
    
    Then, if they change, they risk being a Cinderella, where they came
    out with a sound/image on their 1st album, then changed both on their
    2nd album, and confused fans...lost old fans, got new ones.

    I disagree, not the first Poison album.  Tuff's stuff doesn't seem to
    be as catchy as the early Poison stuff.  This is more like a clone of
    Poison later on (IMO).

    I finally saw that video yesterday (ugh) and the singer certainly seems
    to be trying real hard to look like Bret Michaels.  I don't think he
    really succeeds though, looks more like Bret if he'd had his face badly
    beaten with a blunt object...

    My band ConTaGioUS opened for TUFF at Axis on Sept. 4th. TUFF is quite
    the non-original band. They sound like the 100's of other LA bands.
    Nothing sets them apart from the rest. Boring!! I was talking to one of
    their roadies during the soundcheck. He was telling me that knowbody in
    LA thought that they would get signed. I can see why.....but by some
    bit of luck they did.

    We opened of them, because we are not signed and they are. Another
    reason we opened for them is because its good exposure to play with
    a national act. They brought in alot of people who had never saw us
    play before and we got a really good response. It helps build our
    following..

    Im not busting on them.......I just dont like their style of music. Its
    to much of the norm today. Listen to AAF for an hour. You'll here power
    ballads and straight forward rock songs that all sound pretty much the
    same. You will probably hear some songs twice in 1 hour. 
    
    I think its much better to dare to be a little different. 
    
    Just because I dont like someones music wont stop me from playing a show 
    with them.

    from previous notes you may realise I'm not impressed with this band at
    all.But last night I saw their video of "I hate kissing you goodbye".
    The video starts off(for you who haven't seen it)with a couple snogging
    in the desert for about the first 15-20 seconds,then for the rest of
    the vid. she's constantly bogging off in the huff!!No wonder he hates
    saying goodbye to the huffy cow.

    IN Memphis, TN...Tuff had their equipment truck ripped off..., and most
    of it's content removed before the vehicle(and all remaining items too
    big to move) was thrown in a ditch and burned.  80,000 dollars in
    equipment,merchandise and personal items.
               Fortunately...Then endorsed. So the show will go on!

    They got ripped off a while ago, when they played the Channel with
    Lita a while back, they talked about it.. It seemed that a couple
    kids didn't realize what they where stealin, they just took the truck
    for a joy ride, then found what was in the back and trashed

they show Tuff before they were signed, when they were just handing

    Heard through the grapvine.. The bass player left/gotkickedout the
    band.. The have auditioned TONS of bass players but non have worked
    out.. I know someone that has been talking to the manager directly
    and was/is trying to set up an audition (which I doubt will happen).
    
    
    I didn't buy the album.. I saw them live and liked them.. but I 
    haven't decided if they are on my 'Great' new band list..
