| I've only heard about a band named "Gods" who existed before 1970 and
included future ('70) rock stars like the following:
Greg Lake (later in King Crimson and ELP)
Ken Hensley (later in Uriah Heep)
Mick Taylor (later in Rolling Stones)
Lee Kerslake (later in Uriah Heep)
and one more (I forgot the name) which later was in Gethro Tull.
I've read some critics about their album which contained already some
signs of heavy metal tendencies (but I haven't heard it). Gods had
limited success but the band members succeeded very well after it.
I also remember of seeing the band name GODZ but I don't know details.

| Presumably you`re talking about the GODZ who released the album
"Too Wild To Tame". Great vocals. Sounds like he swallows glass then
pukes up when he sings.

| I WAS JUST GOING THROUGH THE DIR AND CAME ACROSS THIS NOTE...
IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT I HAVE A COPY OF THEIR ONE ALBUM, CAN'T
REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE ALBUM BUT THE ULTIMATE SONG ON IT IS
"GOTTA KEEP A ROLLING"! SO IF ANY ONE WANTS A COPY LET KNOW.
THIS WAS ONE OF THOSE UNDERGROUND BANDS THAT I THOUGHT ONLY MY
FRIENDS AND I HAD HEARD ABOUT...COOL. YES THIS DOES GO BACK TO MY
HIGH SCHOOL DAYS. I WOULD CONSIDER THEM ONE OF THE EARLIEST H.M (AS
WE NOW KMOW IT TO BE) BANDS. I THINK ALOT OF YOU WHO HAVEN'T HEARD
THEM WOULD REALLY GET INTO THEM.
