"The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste"
I like it. But I don't think it is as good as their last outing.
This one is a bit more striaightforward. The last album had quite a
few good instrumental, strange songs with lots of background voices.
This one does not. Alain shares vocal duties with other members of
the band as well (including Chris Connelly). Production assistance
from Skinny Puppies crew. (Apparently, Ogre[Puppy] is going to take over
lead vocals so that Alain can spend more time on guitars on tour). I
don't have a track listing off the top of my head, but the first two
cuts on the album [one of them is "Burning inside'] are my faves. It
is definitely the roughest ministry yet. But I like the way these
    gentlemen are going. Tour maybe????

    Thumbs up....

    John

The older stuff is more dancy-new-wave whatever you want to call it:

    With Sympathy
    The 12" Singles
    Twitch

    Then there's the good stuff:

The land of rape and honey
The mind is a terrible thing to taste

They also have a live album, but I don't know what that is called.

| | what I really like about these guys is the electronic drums. I'd like
to see Lars Ulrich try to even come close! 8^)

To get the full effect of this music...turn the volume up as loud as it
will go (without feedback or nasty distortion, that is) then...

close your eyes and open your ears...you will hear things you've never
heard before...Gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it!

my favorite songs off TMIATTTT is "So What" and "Breathe"
these two songs give new meaning to thrash! more class in the way they
    produced it I guess...

Yeah, So What and Breathe are the best songs on TMIATTTT but I still
prefer The land of Rape and Honey as an all round better album.

| | Well, if you like Ministry, then you'll like Alain's side project
bands. My son wanted me to tell you about 2 albums worth getting. The
first is the REVOLTING CO*KS, the name of the album is BEERS, STEERS,
and QUEE*S. He adores it greatly. The other album he wanted me to let
you know about is 1,000 HOM* DJs (the name of the band and the album).
It has an industrialized version of the old Black Sabbath classic
SUPERNAUT. In his words, a must for all Ministry fans so check 'em out
    and enjoy.

I just got "Psalm 69" and gave it a listen ... while this band
does in fact RIP, the "vocals" and I use the term loosely are
horrible. Don't even bother trying to figure them out without
    	a lyrics sheet.

These guys are heavy industrial ... not a bad sound, really.

Is "Jesus Built My Hotrod" a Butthole Surfers song? Sure sounds
    	like them, anyways.
