Skrapp Metal is another one of those "studio" projects that have been
cropping up lately (ie. Contraband, Bloody Stools, etc,). No one is listed
on the liner notes (to protect the guilty), but word has it that vocals are
Paul Shortino and David Coverdale, and the guitar work is done by Zakk Wylde.
Its basically a humorous metal album, with most of the songs relating to
(oral) sex in one way or another.
Songs examples include "Pearl Necklace" ('I shot it everywhere, but she just
combs it through, says "its good for my hair"....'), "Sherbert" ('I'm gonna
shoot my sherbert into you...'), "Slap Little Johhny Behind The Ear", "Retire
or Die", "Kill The Rich", and the anthemic "Muff Diving In The 80's". You
get the idea.
I don't know whether to be sickened by the whole thing, or just laugh (it *is*
a pretty funny album, I gotta admit!!!). It was supposedly recorded 'live' in
the studio, all in two days. There's also rumor of a tour in the works, but
I'm not sure of the details.

| HHHHHHMmm, I wonder how these three got together?
I haven't heard any thing about this takeOff,but ScrapMetal sounds like
a good name for the band...They might have all been recording in thier
seperate bands(hey Frizz-Is RC recording?)and looked for a fun way to
kill(and make bucks)for a few days..

| Well.....I got to hear this album this week-end.
It doesn't say who is one it.
The guy singing is JEFF SCOTT DESOTO(puke) from the
Yngywie(sp) albums.
Yngywie also does some work on it.
But I didn't hear any Paul Shortino.......8*(!
Rough Cutt have broke up Al(see Jailhouse)
but that doesn't mean their 2 albums still don't hold up today.

Jeff Scott Soto and Yngwie on this album? You've just talked me into
buying it. Rough Cutt only has 3 or 4 congs I like and I never did
like Shortino's voice. I remember seeing those guys at The Channel...
