57.0. "Trixter" by WILKIE::RCOLLINS (George Bush: liar!) Sat Jul 21 1990 03:28

Anyone heard these guys??? Any comments on them??? If ya haven't
heard of them I'll tell ya what I know about them. Their all young,
an average age of 18 acually. Their from New Jersey. Kind of a hard
rock/pop rock sound. Winger, early Jovi comes to mind. Haven't had the
chance to pick up the album yet, I've just seen 'em live. Check 'em out.

First time I heard these guys on the radio, I thought it was Brad
Delp from Boston on vocals, but when I saw the vid and found out
    otherwise, I was impressed!

I really like the song, tho. Sorta Boston meets Tesla...
I can't remember the title for the life of me, now??????

(I know that the above was written a while ago, but I just read it now.
I was just looking to see what other people thought of Trixter).

This is great I am not crazy.... When I first heard the Trixter song
"Give It To Me Good" I told everyone, that I thought the lead singer of
Trixter (Peter Loran) sounded almost exactly like Brad from Boston.
Everyone said I was crazy, but finally I found someone who agrees thanks.
I picked up Trixter's tape (last week) and I really like it.

57.22Seen Trixter last nitePIRATE::SIMONMon Oct 29 1990 16:5719
Just seen trixter last night. They opened for Stryper. I thought
they did a pretty good set, about an hour long too. Pretty good
for the opening act. I had never heard of them before. Not going
out to buy their music but fer you guys that live for this metal
thrash stuff it would be worth checking out. My son (15) liked
them. Stryper did do a better show, a note that I put in another
conference is added to the Stryper note if you want to know
more about what I thought of them. It will also probably show
you why I wouldn't buy any Trixter music! The sound level, thou
high was tolerable. Didn't reach Ted Nugent volume!! Opps the
old days are slippin' out. I measure sound pressure with the length
of time my ears ring!!! Only been a day, Ted lasted 3 !!
Oh yea, I figure the bass player has too have a sore neck!! He swung
his head around and round for 3/4ths of the show!! All in all they
did appear pretty talented, especially if they are as young as a
earlier note said (18 average). Well it's my nap time so you fellas
go bang yer heads and enjoy yourselves.

    Re: concert volumes

Justin, that has always been a pet peeve of mine! You'd think with the
bucks they rake in, they could hire some decent sound engineers. I saw
Foreigner during the "Head Games" tour in the Providence Civic Center.
My ears rang for 3 days after that one too!

I saw Joe Satriani recently and had no problems with ringing by the
time I got home and went to bed. The Coliseum in Phoenix holds more
people than the above Civic Center and everyone could hear Satch & Co.
really well without having their ears bleed. Satch's guys DID IT
    RIGHT!

it was Bon Jovi I heard at first, until the song got
