    	of RIP Magazine.
    
    
    	"Demons, the dark side of human nature, sex and Satanism -
    	sounds like fun stuff you'd find in your local video store
    	under the topic-heading HORROR, right?  Not!  It's the
    	latest long-form music-video release from the reigning 
    	power-chord master o'distaster, Danzig.
    
    	The 40-minute video features material from the first Danzig
    	LP.  Cinematically brought to life is the controversial, 
    	uncut "Mother" video, which MTV insisted be trimmed to a mere
    	shell of its former self.  This version is a must-see for any
    	hardcore Danzig disciple, "Am I Demon," in eerie black and white,
    	could be "Mother Part II."  Also found on this video are
    	"Twist of Cain," the sex-seared "She Rides," rare backstage
    	footage, and in-depth, candid interviews.  Just as in his

    Has anybody picked up the new album yet? I picked it up about a week
    ago and was suprised. This is really kicks. I've never heard the older
    album so if anybody has heard both could you tell me if both albums

    I have little time so I just say: excellent album with a mix of heavy
    metal and (heavy) blues and the very characteristic (and original)
    voice of Glenn Danzig.

    Elvis is *not* dead ... but alive and well and sharing Glenn Danzig's
    body !   8^)   A couple of the acoustic tunes are pretty bluesy.  But
    the rest of the album is typical Danzig - powerful, very dark, eerie at
    times ... EXCELLENT !  8^)

    Actually, I agree with you about Glenn, but the band rips, and
    they are great live. He could use an attitude adjustment, like
    someone from the audience ought to beat the sh*t out of him
    for once, in revenge for the times he's beat up on kids at his

I don't care about their look but the music on Lucifuge is one of the very
best these days. Glenn has a very soulful voice and the compositions are very
strong. Definetly a breath of fresh air. I understood that Metallica people
were already fans of Glenn Danzig.

    I have heard three songs by Danzig:  "Her Black Wings"
    					 "777"
    					 "Long Way Back From Hell"
    
    Glen's voice is very soulful, almost like a metal Jim Morrison.
    
    In this file, I've heard only bits and pieces about them, but would
    like to know more before I think about buying the latest album.  Does
    anyone have a Danzig bio they could post or E-mail me?

       Glenn Danzig's favorite 2 singers are,Jim Morisson of The Doors and
    Elvis, big surprise huh? Lucifuge means the same thing as Satanism or
    Devil worship. Yet another big surprise from Danzig.
    
       I think their first album titled DANZIG, RULES!
    These guys are a great band, I hope they continue to grind out dark
    cool tunes.
    
       I saw them on the LUCIFUGE tour, it kicked ass. I liked how they had
    the drummer, Chuck Biscuits, up on top of the giant not of this world
    skull. The opening bands were CORROSION OF CONFORMITY and SOUNDGARDEN.
    This was one of the coolist concerts I have seen, it was at the
    Colorado Indoor Sports Arena which only seats about 1000 people at the
    most and there was only about 250 people at the concert so seeing the
    bands up close wasn't a problem. There was also a MOSH PIT swirling
    around in front of the stage. It was f__kin' great!

       Samhain released a CD titled Final Descent about 2 years ago. Half
    of it may as well be Danzig, the line up is the same for the band minus
    the drummer Chuck Biscuits who was never in Samhain. Final Descent is
    the only record that John Christ ever played guitar on and Eerie Von
    has been playing with Glenn Danzig ever since the beginning of  the
    Misfits. Glenn picked up John right at the end of Samhain and then
    hired Chuck right at the beginning of Danzig.
    
       The other half of the record is the old Samhain line-up. Whatever
    that was except for Glenn and Eerie.

    I saw a new Danzig video (from D-III) on the Headgiv..er...banger's
    Ball Saturday night and it wasn't too bad.  I don't remember the name
    of the song.  
    
    Seemed unusual that I'd like it, 'cause I don't usually care for
    Danzig's voice (or his Satanic lyrical content).  He seemed to be
    singing a little differently then he did on what I'd heard before.

       The name of the video from Danzig III that they are playing on the
    Headbangers Ball is `DIRTY BLACK SUMMER'. It's a cool song and video
    but I don't much care for the little `HUH' sound that Glenn lets out
    after nearly every verse of the song, it's just kind of annoying and
    unnecessary. Just my oppinion. The song would be better off with fewer 
    `HUH' sounds.
    
    Oh well, it just doesn't matter.

    After reading a quote from Glen Danzig in Kerrang I've lost any respect
    I ever had for the idiot.
    
    He has requested that everybody at one of the festival shows that
    Danzig are on, should pelt support act Warrant with glass bottles 
    as they don't deserve to be on the same bill as Danzig!
    
    Now, I don't care much for Warrant or Danzig, but anybody with this 
    type of attitude deserves to be met in a dark alley with a large baseball
    bat and a big sharp knife.

    What a slime.  I can't stand Warrant, but nobody deserves that.

       Danzig just released a CD single for Dirty Black Summer. It has
    Dirty Black Summer and Bodies from Danzig III and one unreleased track
    called When Death Had No Name, it's a pretty cool tune from back in the
    early  Danzig days. Check it out soon, there are only a limited amount

    How about Glenn Danzig's orchestral "Black Aria", I've heard his other
    stuff, in my most modest opinion he should stick with the classical
    stuff.
    
    Also - the piece - if you don't have it - is based on Paradise lOst by
    Milton.
    
    I also know that it has been out for a while but I recently got on the
    system and wanted opinions - it would seem that I've got some pretty

GTI - the reason it doesn't sound like a live album is only people who replied
to this note last year were there...

    I can't stand anything I've heard by this band.  Those Jim Morrison
    clone vocals just don't "fit" over a metal music background to my ear. 
    Not to mention the fact that ol' Glen is a blatant Satanist and that
    turns me off bigtime.
    
    Oh yeah, and I don't really care to look at him either.  You'd think
    with a recording contract, tours, and several albums out there, the guy
    could afford to buy a shirt...

    I bought the 1st Danzig album for this song and it is about 4 years
    old.Glens influences are Elvis and Jim Morrison and cna be clearly

    on MTV?Its call Can'tspeak and is nothing like any other Danzig song
    I've heard.I kinda like a lot of Danzig stuff and this is excellant.The
