| Riot's out of New York/New Jersey.
I used to date a girl who's cousin was in the band.
I don't think they're together anymore, this was like 5 years ago.

If anyone can locate Fire Down under or Narita on CD I would pay
Top $$$ for them.
I remember when Guy Speranza was in the band singing and Swords
And Tequila is a mean Tune! Not to mention Altar of the King.
That whole album rocks! Narita, is a cool one too they do a cool
version of Raod Racin' and another one of that album that is good
is White Hot and the one that I like the most is Kick Down the Wall.
Good Stuff.

I bought their last album called The Privilage of Power last week end.
I was really surprised that they were completly changed their style
into real Heavy Metal. I thought my speakers would be broke by its
power 8-)

TV power over people.

| I agree. I`ve got Narita and Fire Down Under albums.
Both briliant, and ahead of their times. Can`t understand why they
never made it big.
(The Riot now isn`t as good, but worth checking out).

I have the complete Riot collection and have only been able to find
Fire Down Under and Narita on CD. Those two are by fare the best.
Altar of the Kings still gives me goosebumps.

348.16 | The privilege of power | KETJE::VLASIU | | Mon Aug 26 1991 05:48 | 9 |
| I got "The privilege of power" and I like it. It has something very
specific in the fact that I hear for the first time a mix of speed
metal and .. trumpets. 2 or 3 songs contain this and it works ok. Fine
vocals and instrumentals. 2 fine power ballads also and a cover
(instrumental) of Al Dimeola's "Racing with the devil ..".
A good album. It reminds me also Toxik's "Think this" (even the
sleeve), Toxik's album remaining the best however in my opinion.
