MTV (Mostly Ten Videos) that it was delayed and wouldn't be
out til sometime in February. I believe Ozzy is doing
    Purple Haze.

The voice even sounds like her voice.
This cover is on "Stairway to Heaven, Highway to Hell", this album against drug.

I looked for it in Lechmere when I got the Scorpions tape

Ya know how you try and sing along with a song, but you change your
voice to sound just like it? No? OK, so I'm a freak..... Well, Bon
Jovi tries to sound JUST like Phil Lynott....and he does a bloody good
job of it as well! somebody should extract that, because you are never
    something nice about JBJ again!!!

| | "It seems strange to be writing liner notes for a record these days,
but I felt it was important to say a few things about how this one was
put together. Firstly, no one went in to the studio to make "the
definitive" cover version of any of these songs and no one band went in
to "out do" anyone else by tring to sound or play better than the next
guy. We just asked each group to pick a song they've always wanted to
record, written or performed by an artist or group who have been
touched by drug or alcohol problems, and have some fun with it! It was
with this spirit that the tracks were cut, each band taking one or two
days out of their busy schedules to make it happen. The album includes
eaight studio tracks as well as some live music from "the jam" that
closed the Moscow Music Peace Festival (august 12/13 1989). My thanks
to all the great musicians, singers and engineers who came together to
do it - I'm proud to be a part of it!" - Bruce Fairbairn

    The album is dedicated to:

John Belushi 1982, Mike Bloomfield 1981, Tommy Bolin (Deep Purple)
1976, John Bonham (Led Zeppelin) 1979, Brian Cole (The Association)
1972, Pete Farndon (The Pretenders) 1982, Tim HArdin 1980, Jimi Hendrix

James Honeyman-Scott (The Pretenders) 1982, Brian Jones (The Rolling
Stones) 1969, Janis Joplin 1970, Wells Kelly (Meatloaf) 1984, Frankie
Lymon 1968, Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy) 1986, Jimmy McCullough (Wings)
1979, Robbie McIntosh (AWB) 1974, Keith Moon (The Who) 1978, Jim
Morrison (The Doors) 1971, Billy Murcia (New York Dolls) 1972, Charlie

| | Gorky Park	My Generation (The Who)
This sounds nothing like the original version - but it's
good, I like it. I'll probably go out and buy their album.
It actually sounds like a Russian Cossack song.
Skid Row	Holidays in the Sun (The Sex Pistols)
Biased opinion coming up! This is fantastic, although
Seb cocks up the spit at the beginning! I still prefer
the SP's version, although the disclaimer on the album
is that noone went out to out do/play anyone. It sounds
better (as with all the Skids songs) live.
Scorpions	I Can't Explain (The Who)
Cool tune, although I've never really got into the Scorps
before...and this one isn't gonna sway me in their direction.
They killed it.....I'll probably go and buy the Who's version!!!
	Ozzy Purple Haze (Jimi Hendrix)
FANTASTIC!!! The best cover on the album. It sounds so good
that you'd think it was originally Ozzy's tune - perfect cover!
Zakk Waaaaaiilllllls! You gotta go and buy this album even if
	it's just for this tune!
	Motley Crue	Teaser (Tommy Bolin)
Nice tribute to a great man, but someone should shoot Vince Neil
for his pathetic vocals and I wish Mick would give the slide/steel
guitar (or whatever the damn thing is called) a rest!!!! I
wouldn't have noticed if this was left of the album!
Bon Jovi	The Boys are back in town (Thin Lizzy)
This is an *exact* copy of the original. Jon even tries to sing
in the same way as Phil. Faithful tribute.
	Cinderella	Move Over (Janis Joplin)
Someone said that Tom sings it in the exact way as Janis, well if
that's the case I wish she hadn't died when I was two years old.
	Brilliant song!
Tico Torres	Moby Dick (Led Zeppelin)
	JAson Bonham
	Mickey Curry
	Jim Vallance
Woah! This really messes your hearing up!
	Bon Jovi	Hound Dog
	Cinderella
	Brigada S
	Klaus Meine
	Sax: Scotti Page
This is a live jam at the Moscow Peace Festival - I guess you
all saw it on MTV. Nothing special...actually it's really limp!
Scorpions	Long Tall Sally/Blue Suede Shoes
	Gorky Park
	Piano: Dave Brian
What a mess! Best bit is Klaus Meine going, "Whar garnar harve
	sarm faaaarn tonaart!"
Skid Row	Rock and Roll (Led Zeppelin)
	Motley Crue
	Zakk Wylde
	Jason Bonham

How EMBARRASSING! Someone SHOOT Vince Neil, he has totally
	destroyed a classic song!!!!!!

| | It's time for my inevitable own opinion.

I heard all the tunes. Pretty good EXCEPT for Ozzy of all people. I
like a lot of the stuff he's done, but he butchered poor Jimi. I have
not heard anyone caterwaul(?) like that for a long time. It's like,
stop whining you aging old geriatric fart and just sing the song.

I just didn't like it. That's it. Had to say it.

Only one thing that there's a whole harmonized measures missing
that in the old (Thin Lizzy) version. That reminds me :^0 (as I thought)
I should go home and listen too it!! Skid Row doing the Sex Pistols!
