Gotta agree with ya on that one. Lisa Dominique is veeeeeerrrryyy
Sexy but in my old girlfriends words "she's and embarassment to
the female gender" - She can't sing a note. (I wonder how many "Names"
she's bedded to get this far ?)
Engine are definitely worth a listen, as are people like Shy. C'mon
lets support new TALENT and not flash trash. OK !

I went to see Armored Saint and King Diamond at the Channel a few
weeks ago, and in my opinion, there is no way that K.D. should
have headlined over one of the best live bands I have seen in
a while. For those who have listened to Armored Saint albums,
but have not seen them live, this is a must. They were absolutely
awesome live. As for King Diamond, I couldn't listen to his voice
for more than five minutes without being ill.

re .3
I couldn't agree with u more. I went for the fun of it because the
guys I play in a band with were all going so I relucantly went.
I heard mercyful fate before and thought the band was good so I
went just to see his band.
But anyway I figured judging by thier name armored saint was gonna
be playing 900 mph. and singing like Lemmy. Iwas impressed they
good and real tight.
Then came the king. I will end this note here so's not to rile
any king diamond fans. His band was good especially the drummer.

for LOVERBOY....boy, that was hard to understand, I mean, Loverboy
didn't sound "bad", it was just a weird mix, like a metal act
with a very non-metal act.. weird..
Hey Buck, remember that one...?

Don't you think this mis-matching happens much more
often on the club circuit than on the "big stage.."
I mean, how many times have the local opening bands
(like Bang, Extreme), blown away some college station band
from Detroit or something, could just be me being biased..
By the way, is it true that Bang really broke up..? I
sure hope not.. I dont' even have Summertime on tape..

re: dokken headlining
About three years ago dokken was headlining in Albuquerque, N.M.
Lynch started off talkin s**t to the crowd informing everyone
how he could have any woman in town and how no woman can be
satisfied untill shes had him etc....etc.... It was bogus bull!!!
From nowhere a beer bottle came flying and hit him square in the
mouth from which he began to bleed profusly and left the stage...
d. dokken had to play the rest of the night....He did a killer
job too!!!
Several months ago in guitar mag or one of those they asked him
what was his most embarrasing moments on stage and he answered:
"The time I got sick on stage in Alb. and had to leave."
Yea sure!!!!!!!!
Maybe that's why they don't headline alot anymore!!!!

gone to the wayside, I believe, I can't even remember their
name) opened for him....
anyone remember the name of the band? they did the entire
tour with him.....

The guy is capable of writing some really nice stuff. And I'm
not saying I don't like him at all, I'm just wishy-washy about
him. Like Greg said, it's "safe" material.
Also, I get the point of the original reply's intent. Two
mismatched bands.
One of the most mismatched lineups I ever saw/heard was,...get
this...
Mahavishnu Orchestra backing up J. Geils at Sullivan Stadium!!!

I wonder how Neil Schon feels about opening up for an act
like Warrant? Not that Warrant is not good, but after playing with
Journey for so many years and having other bands open up for them. Got
to feel kind of different. Don't you think? I wonder if he feels like
what am I doing opening up for another band, or is it like, I just want
