I don't know, but they had some kick-*ss stuff a couple years
ago ... "Mama We're All Crazy Now" and "Needle in the Groove"
        were great!!

I wish they'd record some more ... anyone know if they're still
        together?

Yes there still together but they have a different sound now.

The bassplayer who sang has something wrong with his voice so they
added another singer and keyboards, the album sounds like a more
Bon Jovi type of music, The album is called Growing Up The Hard
    Way.

    Mama's Boys are from Ireland...Norther Ireland I think(no rathole
intended...but I must get credit for being the first person to
mention NI in here ;-)...yes it's all coming back now(old brain cells
never die they just get write_locked) their vocalist had a serious
illness and he was advised to 'give up' the singing...I think he
was out of action for a year...but the brothers stuck by him and
they eventually recorded another album(since then I've heard nothing)

The conection with Canada is that they did most of their recording
and touring there. They aslo sold most of their albums there. I
    always liked their videos....

    - Dave.

Interestingly enough, in the last few days (off work), I picked
up the "Power and Passion" album at a used record store (for a QUARTER
    even!!! ...and in good condition!).

It's a good album, these guys have a pretty good sound. Nothing
technically remarkable, but it's distinctive and enjoyable. I'd
recommend it, as it can probably be found in cutout bins at this
    point.

The Mamas Boys line-up changed again this year. The vocalist who
sang on the "Growing up the hard way" album is gone and Don Airey
is now on keyboards. I got to see them in August and they were really
good. I believe they then went to the UK and did a gig in the
Marquee which was attended by a lot of the British rock critics.
I would be interested in hearing any feedback from people who
have read reviews or were at the gig.
