628.0. "Sorry!" by HAZEL::STARR (Kids flash guitars just like switchblades) Wed Aug 09 1989 16:54
Well, a few people have been demanding me to start a note on my band Sorry!,
so I'm gonna bow under the pressure....
Not much to say, really - we're your basic rock and roll band. Not really HM,
but HMer's seem to like us alright, as we do play straight rock, and we have a
tendency to play LOUD. Just ask the people at DECjam! ("Alan - turn that damn
thing down, will ya!!!") 8^)
The official lineup:
Alan Starr - vocals, guitar (HAZEL::STARR)
Tom Gallo - Mr. Bassman, vocals (DECEDS::GALLO)
Steve Brown - guitar, vocals (non-DECcie)
Billy Brown - drums, vocals (non-DECcie)
We play lots of "classic hits" music, such as the Stones, The Who, Santana,
Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Guess Who, Bob Seger, Eric Clapton (of
course!), etc.
Interspersed with that are newer bands such as the Police, the Smithereens,
Romantics, Elvis Costello, The Ramones, Joe Jackson, The Clash, and others.
DECjam was our first show, and we've also played at the Rendezvous in Waltham
with the Dumpster Bunnies (thanx Cheryle!), and hope for more shows with them.
Thanx to everyone who was kind enough to stick around at DECjam for us, and to
the Bunnies for all their help.

seeing them at DECjam. It was a "stroll down memory lane" for me.
Alan even caught me singing along with some song that I don't seem
to remember... ;^)
Anyhow, I'd suggest to all you yankee types that ya get off your
fat duffs and check out SORRY!... You won't be.

*ANY* version of the song would be better then his version...(however
if I remember from the one time I heard it, it had a rather cool guitar
part).

628.8 | Sorry! = HM??? Well, maybe...... | HAZEL::STARR | DJ Bag Man and the Condom Crew | Tue Sep 05 1989 09:49 | 15 |
| Well, its going slow, but I'm finally converting Sorry into a semi-metal band!
No, we're not ready to wear leather and buy hairspray by the carton! But, in a
marathon 6-hour rehearsal, we learned 9 new songs, including:
Judas Priest - You've Got Another Thing Coming
Led Zeppelin - Communication Breakdown
- Good Times, Bad Times
- Rock and Roll
And, just for Coop, Scary, MB, and all those other Southern boys, we picked up
Skynyrd's "Gimme Three Steps".
Can Metallica be far off????? 8^)
