I meet the guys in Sabbat and was surprised how quiet they all are.
Great band though (I think MTV <UK> are doing a special on them
soon).

Yeah, MTV recorded the two shows that Sabbat just did
at the Marquee. So expect a special in couple of weeks.

It means "wooden shoe", and also the stuff you put under horses' feet
(clog?). The real word for shoe is "chaussure".
Anyone care ? :-)

Too keep the Woodpeckers off of their heads (^8*.
Got Dreamweaver backed up to Scatterbrain so I can listen to two great
(if somewhat different) albums one after the other!
Definitely 'Advent of Insanity' is the best track from this hyper
thrash album. I also like 'Wildfire' though!

I now have the new Sabbat album - Mourning Has Broken. I believe this
band has gone through several incarnations recently, but I don't know
what the original line-up was, so can't comment.
On the whole this album is much better than Dreamweaver. It is not as
dark or wierdly mystical as Dreamweaver tried to be. The sound is much
tighter and the vocals extremely clear for a (very) thrash band. They
attempt to do some different things (notably Dumbstruck), particularly
with drum sets (sounds like knocking on wood sometimes) and guitar
counters. It is a pretty technical piece of work, not easy listening
by any means but on the whole I like it. There are even shades of
Stevie Vai licks in there (^8*.
If you like this kind of thing then buy this album, you will not be
disappointed.
