Anyone check out Micheal Angelos live before? I'm not the biggest
fan of speed/heavy metal, but this guy can play.
A friend of mine has his Video on " advanced guitar licks " and his
talent is amazing. He's got this custom made guitar called the "double
axe" ( not double neck ) that has a lefty, and righty guitars constructed
together into a V shape so he can play leads with both hands....
Crazy! but amazing!

The guy is absolutely phenominal, but the band
wasn't that great.
CJSS is a group. Dave T. Chastain on guitar
(another speed demon with a middle initial that
he uses all the time). I'll go make a CJSS note.

I saw "Freight Train" on the HBB last w'end ... Michael
does seem like he can play, and Jim Gillette sounds like
he has a GREAT voice.
They're capable of better than "Freight Train", I hope.
I love the guitar!

The guitar is designed so that Michael can play with both
hands simultaneously, and then play the bottom necks up-
side down simultaneously.
He has a V-guitar, but he had to keep turning it upside
down ... with the extra 2 necks he can just move his hands
to the bottom necks.

seeing Michael Angelo play like he does.

Micheal Andeloe's 4-necked guit. has 7-strings on it and the
last string is High A.
Shawn the song you saw was about the best that there is on the
tape I think it was the one with the least vocal harmonies.

I bought the CD last night, and the last couple replies are
right ... it's not that great.
Michael is fantastic, but he gets monotonous after 8 or 9
songs. Too similar, ya know?
And Jim Gillette has a great voice ... but that also gets
monotonous. In "Machine Gun Eddie", he holds a high note
for 30 seconds ... not bad at all.

I've seen MA before..on that Advanced Git licks tape..I was
blown away both times...but it does get booring...although I'd give
almose anything to be able to do it...
The singer is Xtremly annoying...loud irritating voice and
mosnterously big hair...I'll bet the bimbo's in Vixen are jealous..

I was scanning my CD collection last night, looking for
stuff to play through my new speakers, and I saw this
one. I figured "What the heck", and popped it in.
Yow!! There is a whole lot of bass on this album. I
really gave the speakers (and anything in my room that
didn't happen to be tied/chained down) a workout with
"Freight Train".

I took my cassette copy (of the CD) with me yesterday to list-
en to in the car, and the bass is still great. The guitar is
great, but VERY repetitious.
Michelangelo seems to know one basic solo, and all he does is
switch it around for a good number of the songs. I mean, how
many ways can you play a solo when all you use is the higher
1/6 of the neck?
