556.0. "Roberts, Kane" by ANT::SLABOUNTY (The word for today is legs ...) Fri Jun 09 1989 07:14

I bought the self-titled album from Kane last night (Alice
Cooper's guitarist, or was anyways) for $1.99 at Strawberrys.

Not bad, really - but nothing incredible.

OK instrumental called "Gorilla", and I think my favorite was
        "Outlaw".

Kip Winger does some back-up vocals.

                                                       GTI

Seriously though, I remember hearing something about him leaving
Alice Cooper. When did he leave?? The album Shawn picked up
    	isn't a new release, right??

Well..... I saw the cassingle for a new Kane Roberts tune
(and I've heard it on AAF a few times, too) I figure there
can't be TWO Kane Roberts out there, so...

"Does Anyone Ever Fall in Love Anymore" is the name of it
I believe and something tells me it's a remake? Does
    	anyone know?!

From what I heard of the song (on WAAF) ... it sounded like a BJ_type
tune. Kinda hard to imagine Rambo performing it tho' ...

Yeah Kane gave up the weightlifter image. He looks pretty much like a
normal guy now. I saw an interview with him not long ago where he said
he liked working out, but it took too much time to maintain. He also
said that Alice Cooper was real interested in having him keep up the
bodybuilder look. He's still in good shape, but doesn't have the Rambo
look that he did when he was touring with Alice.

Buck and I heard a new song from him on the radio up in Denver last
weekend. I liked it! It caught my ear enough for me to ask him who
it was and then we heard the DJ saying it was Kane Roberts off his new
album after the song was over.

350 pounds....somehow I find that very hard to believe, even
    Swartzeneggar never weighed that much...

Now 250 lbs I could beleive.

I hate the tune pretty much, but it DOES mention ROLLER COASTER
in the lyrics, so, it's not THAT bad. ;^)

Not a chance unless he was a fatso. Not even Lee Haney is close to

His latest song "Does anyone ever fall in love" is a song written by
Jon Bon Jovi and first sang by Cher, which by the way does it just as
    good!!
