| | Polygram is really pushing Saraya as their best bet band these days. I
got the CD from them, and from what I have heard so far its ok. I don't
like the lick they stole from Get the Lead Out (Rocks)... kinda cheesy.

    Its good though

Singer is very cute too. They kind of remind me
a bit of Winger. They came out of nowhere as far
as I'm concerned. Just caught them on MTV last
week. From what I've heard though (3 or 4
songs), they were okay, but I'm not running out
                and buying the album.

Back to Saraya....
I'm pretty impressed....just saw the Vid. They do remind me a lot
of Winger. Perhaps a new CD in the future? (D@mn, one of these
days I'm gonna buy a CD player to listen to all these CDs). I
can't remember the name of the song, but she has a pretty decent
voice! Is she the only one that sings, or no??
(And I'd take that blonde guitarist ANYDAY!!!!!!!!!!)

I heard "teasers" of some of the album on a radio commercial
last night ... that sounds like a promising band.

She sounds like Pat Benetar (somewhat).

voice, and most of their east coast NE shows were canned. I hope
    she's doin better by now.

Just heard "Get You Ready" on KILO......
Wicked good song! I'm glad I bought the CD the other
day....and I regret not going to Bangles on Tuesday night to
	 hear 'em.
She's got a rough voice.....reminds of me of Joan
Jett.....but I like Saraya much better..................

Any one else know about that? I've never heard of them playing

	I just listened to Saraya's debut album ... there's a couple
good songs, but the rest is just OK.
The guitarist (Tony Ry) does some SMOKIN' guitar work on
"Runnin' Out of Time". Good stuff!!

I have to agree (oh no!) with GTI on this one. I think
the album is okay but it's nothing to rave about. It
reminds me alot of the Crue's "Too Fast For Love" in
    	one regard - it's repetitive!

It seems as though the same lines are repeated over and
over again. It gets to be monotonous. I'll have to
    	give it a few more listens to pass final judgment (;
but so far, not so good.

Tony Rey's style reminds A LOT of Vito Bratta's.

Well, I think Tony sounds more traditional, where Vito sounds too
processed(tone wise). I think Tony's playing style is a lot better
than Vito's. At least Tony doesn't sound like a broken VH record, IMO.

I really dig Tony's tone on "Love Has Taken It's Toll".

"Gypsy Child" really smokes! Love Cyndy's grunts and moans on that
one! ;-) I do like her voice a lot; sort of a cross between Ann
Wilson and Pat "What a Babe!" Benatar. For someone who was 19 when
recording the album, she showed a lot of experience in
singing/sonwriting! A lot more so than the material from Whiney Lion
    in my opinion!

The beginning of "Drop the Bomb" is really good, too. I, for one, am
looking for their next release since I enjoyed the debut album
a lot. "Back to the Bullet" doesn't do much for me tho. But overall,
    I think it's a pretty killer album.
