out of the drummer for FP and tied him up and threw him in

| The guys in Faster Pussycat and Guns and Roses are good friends. They
look fondly back at the fun they had in Germany (they did a whole tour
over there together).
I have two minds about Faster Pussycat. I don't think the album is that
good, but part of that is the lousy production on the album. And as for
live, they are batting 50/50 with me. At the two arena gigs I saw them,
they sucked (Garden with Alice Cooper, Providence with DL Roth). But the
two times I saw them in a club (Paradise and Narcissus) they were great!
So I'm still undecided.....

| I heard the new Faster Pussycat song on WBCN's 'Heavy Metal from Hell' show.
Overall, it was pretty good. The songwriting was better than the last album.
and they played pretty good. My only big complaint was that the production was
pretty weak on it - no b*lls, and too high-endy. Hopefully the whole album
will sound better.

Heard _Poison Ivy_ today, and I liked it. I've been turned
off to this band, get this, because of the name. And I don't
even know what it is about the game. I guess I just always
guessed them to be metalicca-type heavy metal, and I'm not

Anyway, I really liked what I heard, but I'm not sure if I'm
ready to go out and buy an album by them. It would be nice

agagagagaga! I love it!
Back to Faster Pussycat......
I have to vote them the Most Improved Band Award for this year.
First off, there was the album. Although the first album was ok, and had a
couple decent songs on it, you could tell it was a debut effort. And the guys
were not exactly masters of their instruments. Well, they still aren't Satch,
but both their playing and songwriting has improved immeasurably! The new
album has better hooks, better playing, better production.
More important, the band has improved dramitically live. When I saw them in
previous clubs shows, they were great. But at the arena level (with DLRoth and
Alice Cooper), they s*cked. But at the Crue show, it was like a whole new
band! They sounded better than ever before, a lot tighter (probably due to
sacking Mark, the old drummer, and bringing in Frankie Banali to play with
them). They also worked the crowd a lot better, and their time on tour is
giving them some good experience. I thought they gave the Crue a good run for
their money!

315.71 | WHIPPED! | COMET::FRISBYA | Life is poetry in motion | Mon Aug 17 1992 17:46 | 49 |
| This is a song by song explanation by Taime Downe:
NONSTOP TO NOWHERE: The album's uptempo first single stems from the
feeling of not knowing what you want out of life, the feeling you're
just treading water.
THE BODY THIEF: This heavy rocker is about serial killers. It was
written around the time the Jeffery Dalmer stuff was happening. It
seems like every year, there's a new freak out there. This is Taime's
favorite track on the album.
JACK THE BASTARD: It's about a guy he knew that was all bent out of
shape. He didn't know his father and was mad at the world....
MADAME RUBY'S LOVE BOUTIQUE: Is about a speakeasy with a sex shop in
the back. You go back thereand you can get anything you want.
ONLY WAY OUT: The song is about an abused boy and a molested girl. The
song was inspired by the touching letters he has recieved from fans
after he wrote "House of Pain".
FRIENDS:Is about people being there when you need them. Friends are
more important than money, anything. If you have a good friend, it's
worth a million bucks.
MAID IN WONDERLAND: was written about girls you see in L.A. that come
fresh off the boat and grow old real quick by getting into drugs the
like. It happens every day.
CAT BASH: Not all messages left on the Faster Pussycat's answering
machine are nice, but some of the nasty ones are more memorable--and
funnier. While the messages are being played they have music in the
background while Taime says "We don't give a sh*t...What the f**k you
say"
LOOSE BOOTY: With rap-style phrasing and a funky rhythm, this song has a
simple theme: Big butts.
MR. LOVE DOG: This tune is about Andrew Wood, the MLB singer that died
of an overdose. Taime left Seattle before he got to know him but wishes
he had. He was very impressed by his music and this is a weird sort of
tribute.
OUT WITH A BANG: About living for the minute and on the edge. If Taime
was to die tomorrow, he would be happy knowing he got to do what he
wanted.

This is the REAL song by song explanation by Taime Downe:
NONSTOP TO NOWHERE: The album's fast song that tries to capture the
growing number of fans of speed metal. It's about not knowing
why you have only 6 fans and you wish you had more..
THE BODY THIEF: This heavy rocker is about serial killers.
Besides the stupid name it's a stupid song. It
seems like every year, there's a new freak out there. This time Taime's
the freak.
JACK THE BASTARD: It's about a guy he knew that was all bent out of
shape. He didn't know his father and was mad at the world....it's the
drummer's life story.
MADAME RUBY'S LOVE BOUTIQUE: Is about a speakeasy with a sex shop in
the back. You go back thereand you can get anything you want. In other
words this is just a typical posuer song that was written when they
were all in a transvestite club one saturday night.
ONLY WAY OUT: The song is about an abused boy and a molested girl. The
song was inspired by the touching letters he has recieved from fans
after he wrote "House of Pain". (Man, I can't rag on that one.)
FRIENDS: Taime: Is about people being there when you need them. Friends are
more important than money, anything. But I'd sell them all just
to make our album go at least gold.
MAID IN WONDERLAND: Taime: was written about girls you see in L.A. that come
fresh off the boat and grow old real quick by getting into drugs the
like. It happens every day. Cuz I pick them up and supply them with
more drugs.
CAT BASH: Speaks for itself. They obviosly don't like felines.
LOOSE BOOTY: With rap-style phrasing and a funky rhythm, this song has a
simple theme: Big butts. Taime says: "It is a cop-out of Sir-mix-a-lot's
hit single, because you know we can't write one original note.
MR. LOVE DOG: The guitarist got this nickname when the rest of the
band found out he was into the animal thing.
OUT WITH A BANG: About living for the minute and on the edge. If Taime
was to die tomorrow, he would be happy knowing he got to do what he
wanted. But he would regret not having a band that would make it, and
thinks that bands like Motley Crue, Slaughter, Poison, Warrant, should
just stop making music.

I just can't stand this dude's stage name. Friz claim's it's intended

Obviously you haven't heard the song, 'cause it bears no resemblance to
speed metal. It's just an upbeat pop-rock song.
FWIW, this tune is starting to get some airplay around here, it
wouldn't surprise me if it became a hit.
I've been listening to this album for several days now and I have to
say that I like it. The only thing that bothers me is the cheezy
sexist lyrics. Oh well...

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
> NONSTOP TO NOWHERE: The album's fast song that tries to capture the
>growing number of fans of speed metal. It's about not knowing
>why you have only 6 fans and you wish you had more..
This song is hardly speed metal...DURF! It's more of a laid back cool
breeze groove song. I think FP has a little more than 6 fans....
I think FP is struggling with a solid fan base though..They really
don't fit into any real catagory.
> THE BODY THIEF: This heavy rocker is about serial killers.
>Besides the stupid name it's a stupid song. It
>seems like every year, there's a new freak out there. This time Taime's
>the freak.
I don't this song has a stupid name nor do I think it's a stupid
song. Why don't you ever listen to things before you bust on them?
At least then I would value your opinion.
>JACK THE BASTARD: It's about a guy he knew that was all bent out of
>shape. He didn't know his father and was mad at the world....it's the
>drummer's life story.
The drummer? You don't even know the drummer's name....Give it up!

NOTHING about..Isn't it?

>were all in a transvestite club one saturday night.
This isn't a typical posuer song...Read the lyrics! It's draws a very
cool picture of life in the 30's. Good imagination song...Good feel
too!
>ONLY WAY OUT: The song is about an abused boy and a molested girl. The
>song was inspired by the touching letters he has recieved from fans

>FRIENDS: Taime: Is about people being there when you need them. Friends are
>more important than money, anything. But I'd sell them all just
>to make our album go at least gold.
This is a very "from the heart song" and I don't think Taime is
being 'fake' with this song at all. It was written about the time that
they kicked they're old drummer out of the band who had been his friend
for a long time but had betrayed him. BTW-Faster's last album went
GOLD.
>MAID IN WONDERLAND: Taime: was written about girls you see in L.A. that come
>fresh off the boat and grow old real quick by getting into drugs the
>like. It happens every day. Cuz I pick them up and supply them with
>more drugs.
If you do maybe this song should be called 'Chris in wonderland'?

SHA! The song is not at all like Sir-mix-a-lot....The song is better
and lyrics are alot more funnier.
>MR. LOVE DOG: The guitarist got this nickname when the rest of the

I don't think this subject is one to make fun of either. It's a
pretty heavy song about someone who is now dead.

If Taime
was to die tomorrow, he would be happy knowing he got to do what he
wanted.
